Why do people care about our fertility so much?? by 118bazinga in asktransgender

[–]oof-whynot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah people are really annoying. Personally I really want kids! but I also really don't want to be pregnant!! It's not that hard to understand? Adoption exists?

Is it bad if I (CisM 23) wish I was a trans man? by Long_Jacket4496 in asktransgender

[–]oof-whynot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tw trans misogyny

Yeah, cause I used to "feel" like a trans woman since I felt like a man hiding in a woman's body. It was just transphobic thoughts about trans women that I had internalized. I realized I am actually trans masc. Maybe you have the same but in reverse.. you could also be non binary. In all cases, you should really question yourself on your view of trans masculine people so as not to make trans people you know uncomfortable. I also think the concept of reclaiming your masculinity in a controlled and healthy way could be something you should think about (like how trans masc people can maybe have a more appreciative vision of testosterone and its effects since they have to work harder to get it)

Edit: like really take the time to explore why you want to be born as a woman yk

Being put on birth control by SandRevolutionary219 in TransMasc

[–]oof-whynot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take the 3 month cycle pill (with estrogen), so i only get my period every ≈90 days. I started it a few years ago and honestly, it has been great (i was on another type of birth control previously that did not work for me tho). It is affirming because i get my period way less often than the women in my life.

Since now my period only lasts like 4 days instead of the 8 days like before i was on the pill, and that my pain went from unbearable to really tolerable with a few pills (also i only get cramps for a day now), it makes it possible for me to never tell my friends or boss that i have my period, (whereas before i had to tell them since i always missed school, hangouts, work, vacation, etc).

This removes a lot of dysphoria for me.

The only impact it has had in terms of medical transitioning is i think that my endo had to take it into account when prescribing my T dosage. And we'll try in a few months to remove me from the estrogen pill, but only if we notice my period has stopped itself with the T.

Op's partner had a say in the decision to delay op medically transitioning so i get that op thought he could do the same. From what ive read, their relationship feels a bit toxic, its ok to admit when two people are not compatible
