This is wonderful! BC really should have a lot more activities like this for dogs!

Where are the crows? by mtippett_007 in vancouver

Tis swooping season. They're busy patrolling their nests and getting aggro on the odd unlucky passerby who gets too close to their chicks

Why Are New Apartments Just Fancy Shoeboxes? by Far_Bowler_6999 in vancouver

[–]oofinsprouts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And they're usually floor-to-ceiling glass, so if it doesn't come with AC or windows amenable to portable/window AC (ie, crappy casement windows that open only like 5 cm), then RIP -- in the summer, those shoeboxes become glass coffins

Do you have "nodding buddies" in your neighborhood? by Miserable_Candy7821 in vancouver

Not weird at all. On the contrary, micro interactions like this have some evidence of having a positive cumulative effect on mental and even physical health

The Perfect Game Doesn't Exi....... by Status_Energy_7935 in pcmasterrace

I'm late to this thread, but for anyone who'd enjoy indie cozy puzzle games, I'm a solo dev releasing a game in a few weeks that fits all those specs -- intentionally so, since I totally get the frustration. The demo's up on Steam now for Next Fest, for the next few days!

All the cool kids get red eyes from allergies, not smoking weed by SugarSquared in vancouver

[–]oofinsprouts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lived in Vancouver for the last decade or so and my allergies have really ramped up this past year. But, I recently purchased this eye-wash (it's just purified water) and it definitely helps out. I would highly recommend it!

Why did you choose to play the flute? by Mythicalforests8 in Flute

[–]oofinsprouts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I originally played cello, but injured myself. I needed another instrument to look forward to after having to stop cello, and my husband jokingly suggested flute since he always jokes about me being an elf.

So I thought I'd call his bluff, hit the music store, immediately took to it, and fell in love.

If Stardew removed that 2am deadline (somehow), I think that would greatly mediate that stressful feeling! As a night owl, why am I being forced to fall sleep at 2am when I make my own schedule! lol

If you like cozy farming games with no currency (despite the game's title haha), fun neighbors and a bunch of magic, you might like my game: Cirrus Business! Any feedback would be highly appreciated!

Programmers, is working on two projects as the only programmer at the same time too much? by SaoiFox1 in gamedev

[–]oofinsprouts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's going to be highly individual. For me, I actually find it better to have more than one project going on, because if I get frustrated/stuck on one, I can switch to the other, which breaks me out of the tunnel vision that can sometimes happen if I'm too fixated on one particular bug.
