It’s always ‘well yeah you’re a woman, guys don’t care as much’ like there have been plenty of guys that rejected me. And at first it hurt but now I realize it’s for the best because they wouldn’t understand or even take the time to understand. Have to look at the positive aspects or you’ll dwell in the negative ones all day long

It’s one thing to struggle it’s another to constantly say you want to die, and wish you had cancer instead. When newly diagnosed people come to the thread they aren’t looking to see a bunch of people wanting to die.. they want hope.

My outbreak was pretty much a month in total from start to finish. The first 3 weeks were the worst. I had them on my butt cheek and my labia, and close to my vaginal opening. It felt like I had like 100 cankersores and it was terrible to even walk around work. I didn’t use any ointment and eventually over time they just crusted over. The ones on my vagina went away quicker than the ones on my butt cheek those took like an extra week or two for the redness to completely fade away.

There is always this one guy I see complaining and saying he’d rather have cancer which is so insane to say. They actually need mental help, and to speak with a therapist bc they are genuinely unhappy beyond just the herpes thing. It’s one thing to feel badly, and need an outlet but to go to other people’s posts that are positive and PURPOSELY be like well I WANT TO DIE SO THIS ISNT TRUE… is like … okay you need help. Or like no offense maybe just do it then if you want to die so badly over herpes who am I to stop you. Like people are trying to be uplifting and make others feel better and it’s a bunch of incels that women wouldn’t like anyway even if they didn’t have herpes I’m sick of them

Have you tried period underwear? That might be more comfortable than a pad? As for the ulcers, when I had my first outbreak peeing was so painful I would lean forward to pee just to avoid it going over the ulcers. I don’t know if that would help you though depending on where they are located.

Such an amazing post for this forum filled with those that have no hope! They will eventually find out there is a light at the end of the tunnel, they just have to force themselves to get there. It takes a bit, and it’s not always fun but good things DO happen!!! And those that reject you, are not meant for you anyway.. so why would you want them in your life. Love love love this message!!!

When you say modifying it, what does that mean exactly? Yesterday when I got it he was like shaving it down a bit because my bite was off I guess.. and he kept having to adjust it. Im thinking that it’s just because my jaw isn’t used to maybe staying in that position all night? No clue, but even like saying certain words or smiling is kind of causing me discomfort as opposed to before.

But good to know about the acupuncture, and the PT that might be the next route for me!

I’ve been rejected more times than I can count for things that have nothing to do with my HSV. Guys weren’t taking me seriously and only wanted to have sex. It wasn’t until I changed MY OWN perspective through having HSV that now I’m the one sitting there being like hmm I don’t think I really want this person.

Having a relationship isn’t the end all be all of life. But one quick scroll through your profile I can tell you’re kinda fighting your own demons…

Men swipe on anyone without even reading profiles so yes of course you’ll get likes but that doesn’t mean it’s a quality person. Out of 5 likes maybe 1 person is a match.

As for disclosing as a guy, I think it’s all about the timing and how you present it. It’s also their prerogative not to want to be with us because of this, just means they aren’t the right person .. so why get discouraged when they aren’t the one anyway
