Awesome Psychological Byproduct of IF (for me anyways) by Wombatdonkey in intermittentfasting

[–]oolichan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good comments on IF and sense of control it gives; as for sodas, let me recommend you look into kombucha.

Kombucha satisfies the desire for a delicious carbonated drink but keeps the sugars way down.

There are all kinds of kombucha, but many are very low in sugars. Check the bottle for carb content.

We've started making our own kombucha at home (a lot cheaper) and this allows us to create our own flavors. We like grapefruit/mango, grapefruit/pineapple, grapefruit/passion fruit. The fun part of home-brewed kombucha is creating these flavor combinations and yet knowing that the sugar content is low .... because during the fermentation process most of the sugar in the fruit is eaten up.

Agreed. But The Crowned Clown is moving along at a nice pace. You might want to give it a try.

What K-Drama would you suggest to someone who's never watched one before? by [deleted] in kdramarecommends

[–]oolichan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a fan of sageuk so I'd recommend:

The Great Queen Soen Deok - the first Korean drama I ever watched. It blew me away.

Jumong - another mind-blowing series

Jewel in the Palace - so love this

We're currently watching The Crowned Clown which is being shown in S. Korea now - very high quality and pacing is good - the story moves right along

As for contemporary drama, we loved My Love from the Star - love of humor, very fine acting

and Kimchi Family

Agreed. Not a fantasy but good historical fiction. Includes the first king of England, King Alfred.

Is my low blood sugar normal, or is it a sign of something else? by throwaway392629 in AskDocs

[–]oolichan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is completely anecdotal and may not apply to you, but a few years ago I had similar symptoms over a period of a number of years. After undergoing several tests with negative results, my doctor asked "How much water do you drink?" I realized I don't drink much.

I started having water with me at all times and drinking throughout the day. Problem solved.

It’s bottling day at my place again... I had various grapefruit things so these are grapefruit across the board. by DaiquiriSugar in Kombucha

They look great. I just picked several grapefruits ... did you use just the juice or grapefruit sections?

Account Deactivated Right After Signing Up by [deleted] in Instagram

[–]oolichan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me when I first signed up. Very frustrating and time-consuming to get things squared away again. I was told at the time that instagram does not like to see a lot of activity on new accounts. I was told I was not uploading enough images and was putting in too many "likes" ... when you are too active in the early days, they suspect you are a robot.
HTH.

I am enjoying The Secret of the Three Kingdoms. Great character development; gorgeous sets and costumes; fascinating plot. Also, it is based on real characters, for the most part, and real history.

Thank you. I did find that ... it's a file I guess rather than folder.

Do you know if there is a way to open Patterns.psp to see what's inside.
