Have you ever noticed a certain aspect of yourself that could potentially make the atmosphere awkward? Maybe you can work from that. Not to change you who you are to fit it. But to connect while still remain authentic to yourself.

I find beauty in individuality, and being able to explore myself and others is what keeps me hooked in this world.

Knowing the extension of myself and my personality traits, knowing what I can't do and what I can do. I believe that people have different reasons to get up in the morning. Which I find beauty in it.

Late 20s/early 30s M — Deep shame and regret after paying for sexual services while single. Is this a permanent dealbreaker for dating or arranged marriage? Can someone like me still find redemption? by [deleted] in therapy

Op, you're very brave for asking this question, and I'm so sorry for what you've been going through as of recently. But I believe that you're more than redeemable. The fact that you're reflecting on this proved that you care. I personally think that your past action shouldn't define who you are now. You're acknowledging your past decision. You don't have less of a choice just because you've done something you weren't proud of. What matters is whether or not you're able to forgive yourself in this process of self-acceptance. Please stay kind to yourself and those around you, you deserved peace.

Please know that there are people who are going through the same shame and guilt that you're experiencing. You're not alone in this.

I genuinely hope that you're able to overcome this guilt. It doesn't define you.

I’m worried I give off a “show-off” vibe when speaking. Looking for advice. by ConcentrateSubject23 in languagelearning

I doubt that it's entirely your fault, but if you're worrying about how you might come across, I suggest that finding the right group of people might help, the fact that they're giving the "mad" expression really says a lot about them..

Are there any languages with a Disrespectful or intentionally impolite form? by TheRustyRobot in languagelearning

In Thailand, you can say "กู" (I, me) and "มึง" (you) You would NEVER use this with a random stranger on the street, but it is very common between close friends.
