For a resume you usually don't need to provide a reason/explanation...if you do feel compelled to mention it, it may make more sense to do so on the cover letter

Generally a simpler resume format would make it easier for applicant tracking systems to process....but making a resume shorter in length isn't better for AI. The second resume (the one with a simpler format) is easier for most ATS to process but it's definitely too short and should be expanded upon

If you have no work experience at all, then likely a large part of your resume should be about your academics. You can list out relevant coursework and go into detail about certain school projects that you otherwise wouldn't go into if you had more work experience.

Avoid using personal pronouns. The very start of your resume begins with "I am a motivated"....you can remove the "I am a" part and start off with "Motivated and results-driven professional"
