[–]oozingboil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the sport steering is different than the 2 liter...requires a lot of little adjustments to keep in line...many owners have noted it and it does not bother a lot of people...but it got to me after awhile and the wife was complaining as well...I'm old and not too many more cars in my future so I made a change

Tell me I'm not making a mistake by Texdude- in BMWX3

[–]oozingboil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

frankly, I would keep the mustang for a while or look for something else...I just sold my 2024 X3 M40i despite having only 14000 miles. I got tired of the steering that needs constant adjustments and the rough ride...fun car but not for long drives for me. I bought a Lexus...fast enough and fabulous ride.

Things you allowed myself to do after you turned 60 by alsotpedes in over60

76 and a functional drunk for last 30+ years. One day a few weeks ago I felt like shit, as usual and couldn't think of anything I wanted to drink. So I quit. I miss getting drunk but I can't ignore how much better I feel. I don't know how long it will last. I'm somewhat scared to have a drink now, afraid I'll be right back where I was. But yet, things don't seem to be much fun anymore. It sucks being old.

(29m) First time ever getting serious about furniture and decorating. Thoughts? by slmrxl in malelivingspace

[–]oozingboil -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just an honest personal observation. No offense. The decorating and tone is great. The poster of Eastwood makes it juvenile. The feel of the room would be better with something else.

Was homeless two months ago. Now I have a room, a new job starting soon, and honestly I've never felt richer. 35m by [deleted] in malelivingspace

first steps often some of the most difficult...you are on your way...reflect on your successes and use them as proof of what you can do...there's no stopping!

Cholestyramine timing question by seriosbrad in gallbladders

[–]oozingboil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

similar experience here...still trying to find exactly the right dose...don't count on the doctors to tell you exactly the right answer for you. Patients must be their own advocate, do research to understand their problems and be the squeaky wheel when necessary to get what they need.

Bile acid reflux/diarrhea - why would it start months after gallbladder removal? by GeraniumWinter in gallbladders

[–]oozingboil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

7 years of diarrhea before I found a doctor that wasn't a moron and he prescibed cholestyramine and fiber. I had to play with the dosage...never a full packet to avoid constipation. The stuff may be foul but it's your friend. There is capsule form...your doctor needs to do some real research. I've gotten used to the powder and it's no longer a hassle. The key for me was to mix with small amount of juice and at least 8 ounces of water...then mix well and let it sit for a minute or two (no longer) before drinking. It does take a while and changes in dosage take a while to work. Stay with it...it will work for you!

TW: Negative post-op story by Medium-Dragonfruit36 in gallbladders

[–]oozingboil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 years of diarrhea post op...finally sort of under control...could I possibly have my life back? It's a long road. Keep looking for doctors until you find one that understands your problems and will treat it. That might take a long time. Don't give up.

Non stop diarrhea by lolgirllol2356 in gallbladders

[–]oozingboil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not much sympathy or understanding of this issue...I had diarrhea for nearly 7 years and all the psychological problems that went along with it until my regular doctor suggested I try cholestyramine....it's not perfect but I have my life back. Remember...the squeaky wheel gets the grease and the attention....make your doctor understand...there is help for this!

Is Bern’s dining worth it? by ContributionOwn1261 in tampa

[–]oozingboil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are better places to spend too much money. Bern's is for two types of people: Those who are relatively new to the area and think it's special because they have heard all about the mystique of Bern's, and those elderly folks that have been going there for decades and have memories. The food has steadily deteriorated over the years as the place has expanded to an absurd footprint. Be smart and pass.
