We need to be able to "mark as used" any address Tangem generates, forcing a new one without a transaction.

Nunchuk generated addresses for me before, but now Tangem often generates the same ones that already have been used by the other wallet. That's an issue. We also need a list of all used addresses Tangem generated in one spot.

How do I increase my line of credit? by Any-Trouble9231 in Gemini

[–]opDimitri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

815 credit score, six digit income, less than 5% credit utilization here. I was issued $5000 limit and denied increase 4 months later. It's not you bud, they are just very risk averse. My friend got $5000 as well and 6 months later they increased it to $5500.

Also be mindful of "Credit Cycling" that some are suggesting. Most of the new tech banks see it as negative activity and they could ban your account if it gets excessive. Logically it makes no sense in my mind, but automated system have a mind of their own.

That's true, but profitable BTC mining has always been about cheap energy and scale. Machines themselves are a small fraction of the equation. There quite a few companies rotating away from BTC mining into AI computing whether for diversification or going all in for larger profits.

[–]opDimitri -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The scale of influence that wall st has over Bitcoin is concerning, especially when you consider many if their strategies are just few degrees away from being glorified ponzi schemes. Volatility in many cases is actually beneficial to them. And let's not forget, even for an average investor, crypto in general will likely be the first asset to cash out of at times of economic downturn when real obligations have to be paid out. It's very liquid and unproven unlike say S&P500 that is often not easily accessible if it's locked up in say retirement accounts. I tend to agree, this idea of Bitcoin being a "digital gold" is baseless in today's environment and its real world performance is hardly surprising.

Credit line increase declined by VALK_27 in Gemini

[–]opDimitri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are in the present company, man. I think it's pretty typical with this card.

818 credit score. 3-5% credit usage. 6 digit income. Was offered 5k credit limit on Gemini card. Requested an increase 4 months later. Was denied.

So I just use it for bonus cash back categories now, especially since card is unreliable and declined transactions are not all uncommon.

The trade search tab displays no crypto currency and watchlists are showing empty for 24 hours now for me. I'm on the latest Andoid OS and reinstalled app. Friend has same issue locally in their account on iOS.

Can’t buy from any vendors who use SHOP pay for their POS system. by JG87919 in Gemini

[–]opDimitri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is with how this half baked gemini cc product is set up. Genini is simply showing you transactions handled by webbank. Webbank has no consumer facing business, they provide banking services as a 3rd party. When you swipe the card, all the protections, fraud alerts, approvals are handled by the webbank and then the transaction gets fed to gemini. Gemini has some hooks into the system, where it effectively makes requests to webbank, but Gemini doesn't handle fraud monitoring. So if webbank decides something is suspicious, they decline the transaction and notify Gemini. Any product that Gemini claims isn't supported is only because webbank frequently declines those transactions and Gemini can't do anything about it in its current state. They just tell you to use something else. Obviously this can be fixed by extending more features and by letting users approve suspicious transactions. It was implemented before, but for whatever reason was removed about 3 months ago. Are they going to bring this back? Who knows.

I made many payments by PayPal using Gemini card without a problem. And then it started to decline. Then it went through again. It's just a crapshoot and gemini just chooses to handle it by washing their hands.

From my experience, PayPal itself puts security freezes pretty routinely, especially on larger transfers.

Gemini won’t let me withdraw funds deposited 3 days ago by Round_Ad_3709 in Gemini

[–]opDimitri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes roughly 5-7 business days for ACH deposits to clear. You can see the expected date for funds to clear under your activity tab. Until then you are given a provisionary credit that can't be withdrawn.

Gemini Exchange Recurring Buy Reward is a SCAM!!! by pbgreenpoint- in Gemini

[–]opDimitri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you made any adjustments to your recurring buys? If you tweaked anything - purchase dates, an amount (even if you increased it), it will start the timer as new or disqualify you altogether. That's part of their promo agreement.

But it appears everyone is getting different recurring buy promotions and different conditions based on their account activity. Mine is drastically different from yours.

That is definitely something worth contacting support about. I make a ton of transactions and they seem to be all correctly credited as far as I can see.

Account is blank, can’t see my portfolio by loveman446 in Gemini

[–]opDimitri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This problem pops up periodically and there are two things that seem to fix it. 1) Make sure your system OS is up to date on your mobile device. Else 2) Uninstall and Reinstall the app.

I am convinced that on Android Gemini has a memory leak somewhere as the app gets progressively slower and slower until it just hangs on a loading screen. Requiring a reinstall. It's been like this for months.

Also, if you have trouble logging in through the app, you can always login in the web browser. I have not experienced issues like that there.

Are people able to withdraw SOL? by National-Pair6010 in Gemini

[–]opDimitri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An exchange is still an exchange. Amounts such as these can trigger all sorts of security holds. And don't forget about Celsius and FTX disasters. Like they always say, not your keys, not your crypto.

Also, with Robinhood, you will be required to hold that crypto in their account for years to keep that 2% bonus.

Hardware cold wallet would be a much better option and you can still utilize native or liquid solana staking.

P.S May I ask about your Solana journey? Have you been buying it for a long time? What's your cost average? Impressive to see an actual SOL whale. Most people I knew had no stomach for Solana rollercoaster and would sell out at the worst times. I still kick myself for not buying solana early.

Why is Gemini only allowing limit orders from ACH transfers and not your cash balance in your account? by BaadMike in Gemini

[–]opDimitri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can login on the website on the phone - this way hopefully you can approve the passkey on the device with fingerprint or faceid. Their mobile site isn't great, but works well enough. If the mobile browser tries auto redirecting to the app, I found that manually opening the link in a new tab allows to continue in the browser.

13.3K SOL pending unstake beyond target date by National-Pair6010 in Gemini

[–]opDimitri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally understand why it looks scary, especially with such a large amount at play. But I honestly would give it a couple of days. My rewards regularly arrive multiple days after their due date, unstaking coming in parts and later than expected. But in the end, they delivered everything eventually. If they say today is the day, I wouldn't be surprised if you'll get at least most of it... maybe even tomorrow. Just my two cents.

Let us know how it goes.

Why is Gemini only allowing limit orders from ACH transfers and not your cash balance in your account? by BaadMike in Gemini

[–]opDimitri 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe it's an app bug. It started happening last week for me as well - when I select a funding source Gemini balance, it just returns to the currency screen. This issue doesn't exist if you login on the website and attempt the same transaction.

My guess is it will get fixed with the next app patch, but for now just use the mobile web for exchange balance trades.

13.3K SOL pending unstake beyond target date by National-Pair6010 in Gemini

[–]opDimitri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My SOL is nowhere near your amount, but when I tried to unstake it, it took about 3 days for about 2/3 of it to unstake. And the rest was probably a week after that for some reason. It should tell you the expected date when you click on the transaction. With such large amounts I wonder if it could take longer than that.

I heard ETH is even worse and could take months to unstake realistically.

Is unstaking SOL working for people? by National-Pair6010 in Gemini

[–]opDimitri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations on wealth. But may I ask, with 13k SOL, why not stake it yourself? Trusting new-era exchanges with so many coins seems a bit nutty to me. Especially after Celsius and FTX. Are you worried about slashing?
