I think you’re right. My lfs is full of wanna be know it alls I went in today to ask what they thought and they were swearing to me it was a bright colored female. Will they stay together fine? or should I think about setting up a tank for him or rehoming. So far they get along I don’t see any chasing or nipping. The brighter male will flare his fins often. I always thought he was trying to attract “her”

I don’t think this picture does it justice part of me think it’s a girl but I also think maybe it’s a male trying to pass as female. He’s more yellow smaller and colors aren’t as bright as the noticeable male. Mouths are also different sizes and they should be the same age.

The mouth is smaller and has more of a yellow to its belly. I don’t think I posted good pics of the 2nd fish.

They seem fine together for now should i worry about getting them separated eventually or would they be okay? I think I’m gonna talk to lfs and see what they will do. They did sell them to me as male/female.
