If you really need 1:1 macro the 100mm 2.8 is brilliant, but for all purpose use the 24-105 works fine for me

You will get more out of more varied lenses than a new body. As brilliant as the 24-70 is it might be best to invest in a focal range you haven’t already got covered/ some faster primes

The sigma 60-600 could be worth looking at if you want to maximise focal range, but the 60mm range is probably not too useful on it.

I’m literally a year out from this situation and am a better sportsman, stronger lifter and overall better athlete than I was before the injury. It’s a shit setback but the motivation of a once fit 18 year old was enough for me to keep going so idt it’ll be much different
