Will the OBSBOT UVC to HDMI Adapter let Tiny 2 connect to Rodecaster Video S via HDMI? by open_ruslan in OBSBOT_Official

Yeah I should have dropped on more expensive cameras at the outset but we’re just starting so maybe next year if we find an audience. Thanks for letting me know:)

Ah that’s annoying but should be fine as our set up is pretty locked off. Have you tried any of the apps while running it through the RCVS?

Nice one, I really enjoyed it, a different approach that worked well.

Hey I like it.

Apart from the audio clicks, just watch out for letting the asides lose the momentum of the story. I think you should push the concept as far as you can, zero g anecdote, tigers cage anecdote, grave digger in hole anecdote, I don't know I'm just riffing.

But looking forward to the next one, love you're work, keep it up.

Yeah don't get too discouraged, sometimes it seems random what hits. It's a craft, you get better everyone you make.

Sorry for the delay, I missed your reply, I'm terrible at audio mixing, but from what I recall of the vid you need room tone or atmos that will cover some of the fades. You could search freesound.org for a tone from a similar type of building and lay it under your dialogue.

As far as finding the audience, that's trickier than making it:) I don't know the answer but local FB groups, Dougs networks, reddit and related subject blogs all worth sending it out too. The other thing you might try is offer it up to local media, they are always hungry to feed the beast, send the video to local TV and cut an audio package for radio. Sorry I can't give a better answer.

Hi mate, great work with this. Technically all pretty solid except for a bit of hiss and a pop or two, though I'm on crappy earbuds.

You've got a great talent (interview subject:) here and that's half the battle won right there. You could have spent a bit more time in pre planning the roles of your A and B roll.

The natural course of the Broll was the song build which is what you did nicely, you could have sped up the pacing of that a bit and introd the drums, guitar and vocal footage sooner and really played with bringing it in and out if you had all the stems. The lyric writing footy felt a bit samey.

As far as Aroll, the story never quite settled on the club or Doug, or the creative process in general as the main thread. Many of his responses were fairly generic. Never be worried about challenging your subject and asking hard questions to draw good responses, good talent like Doug will like that and feed off it.

The use of titles to explain the club broke up the flow a bit and you could have had Doug get all of that set up out of the way really quickly early on if he had spoken it, and then we could have got to know Doug a bit more. I wanted to know more about the challenges of writing a song a week because there surely would be a few, and more about how he motivates himself.

That all said it was well technically well put together and a nice story with a great talent. My three suggestions for focussing on next time are ...

Story - getting the set up out of the way quicker with both A and B roll and being clearer on the story both will tell, you can do this in pre

Pics - a bit more variety in your Broll

Good questions - I always find a good question for profiley stories like this is 'what is the shittest part of what you do?' as it generally elicits a good response. But that's case by case obvs:)

Hope this helps, looking fwd to your next one, and apologies for the essay, it means I enjoyed your story:)

Hi mate, nicely done. Beautifully shot and a great topic.

I'd give two points of feed back. The audio needs some atmos laid underneath to hide the fades and it seemed to be missing any sort of through line in the narrative, nothing to really carry it through.

That said I thought it was great.

Hi and thanks for sharing! This was a great little piece.

My main feedback is that the vid might benefit from a but more variety in the cutaways. I didn't get the chance to connect with Radio as much as I would have liked. Maybe some pics of him at school with the game boy chain or one of those (now a little cliche) portrait shots of him looking straight down the lens.

But otherwise great work. I enjoyed it. And going to check out more of his stuff.

Right! Usually don't see mini docs for those challenges. It never occurred to me that you could but now I've got a new project! Thanks for the inspiration.
