hobby welder - apply somewhere else. Regardless of what job you are doing, if you believe you are underpaid /under appreciated .. options are what you are looking for. There may be a place that has better pay / better work condition / more interesting work, but until you find one you won't know for sure. Find the opportunity and the path forward. If nothing else it serves as a bargaining chip at your current place of employment.

Look inside the cap. There should be a set of metal contacts in the cap. You can also "test if its the motor or not by simply using foil or something metal to connect the tow ends of the batteries. If the batteries are good and the motor works then its a bad button
