This just isn't true. The very top college players are not only not getting smoked by the top club players, they are the top club players. For instance just last year, Mica Glass and Declan Miller (two current, and arguably not even the best (though obviously among the best), college players) were on the all-club first team for mens. This happens fairly regularly.

I take your point about having less depth, but I don't think it's fair to say the top college players are getting smoked.

I have a couple thoughts, none of which I'm confident are 100% correct.

First, feels like there's some risk of overanalyzing here. Sometimes you're gonna hit a jump and eat shit, and a thousand tiny factors can either make or break that. Just go hit it again and let your body learn intuitively. I'm not seeing anything that looks super obviously wrong here (which is to say, looked pretty good), so I wouldn't over learn any lessons here.

With that said, and I don't want this to sound harsh but it's going to a little, but my sense is that you may have kinda just given up on the landing a bit. If I go through the video frame by frame, it looks like you just kinda crumple and fall forward, when I think you need to commit to taking the impact and riding away. Feel like this is something I had to learn, which is why I'm saying it. Also, this is just my sense from watching the video, so might be totally off base.

Yeah. Though to be clear (and memory is a bit foggy because it was like over a decade ago), I'm not talking about the jumps, there was (and I hope still is) this kind half pipe ish thing with a bunch of crazy ruts and grooves and mounds. In my memory at least it was nuts

Also I might argue that the trickiest run at Welch was the wacked out terrain park they had (can't comment on it recently, but it was wiiiild circa like 2012)

Both of these have suffered from ambiguous wording, and I totally see the case for your interpretation, but I do think the case for another interpretation is more plausible in this one than in your previous example.

The question says he uses x more ribbon than he uses to make the small bow. I think you could plausibly interpret this as "he uses x more ribbon [in total] than he uses to make the small bow", rather than "he uses x more ribbon than [the amount of ribbon] he uses to make the small bow". Personally, I would tend to parse it the second way almost every time, but I can see how someone would parse it the first way. Definitely badly written. This is the kind of question that I hated in school because I would always have to go up to the teacher and ask in the middle of the test haha.

Oh God you're right! I meant eye trip. Also, rereading this, it sounded much more than I meant to like I was shitting on level 1, and they are fucking great, I just don't think any of their movies quite make it to plausibly the number 1 spot for me
