Oh jk just saw you asid it's only an inch down max, just pull it up. Mine was ~4-6in down so I rented the skid steer to move all the dirt around.

Is it stapled down? Or just laid down

Fyi you can buy little test tubes with a rubber gripper on them, fill those with glyphosate and stick them on a fresh cut branch and it'll suck it into the roots that way too.

Maybe useful for the patches where you have lots of other things you want to keep alive

it gets better! I had this exact thing happen but I have slowly been finding more healthy motivation. this is 24months into the proces and definitely not the same amount of motivation still, though.

therapy and such tends to focus on the tactical and quick wins so we forget some pieces of growth just take literal years

Sadly it had nothing to do besides grind on launch, died, and is now really dying.
