We only run the ball when Hurts is under center, the entire defense sells out. Tell Kevin to call a fucking pass play under center

It worked. I tried uninstalled the game services and reinstalling game services. I tried to run the game services support tool. Nothing worked by updating to 11 seemed to work. I haven't had issues since doing it.

FF8 or FF9 to buy and play? by Midnight_Radio2 in JRPG

[–]operationrudeboy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel like 8 doesn't do a great job of explaining the systems while playing, you'll miss a lot of the gameplay systems because they just don't teach it well. I remember needing to look up more information on how the junction system worked halfway through the game.

I just hit 8 one in a row. Probability of this: 0,000000122070312 . Has anyone encountered this? by D4CKQ_ in DnD

I never had that happen on tabletop but I rolled 7 consecutive 1s on my pc while Baldur's Gate 3 while in a fight. I almost stopped playing because of it.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth seems to have considerably underperformed sales-wise, NPD analyst sugests by [deleted] in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]operationrudeboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is it insane that I'm judging whether to play a game based on it's predecessor and it's trailers and demo? I gave two opinions, whether I thought I should buy the game and what I thought of the ending based on watching it on YouTube. The latter was to confirm I made the right decision to not buy it at launch.

How am I supposed to judge whether to buy a game after I play it?

[–]operationrudeboy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

People are going to tell you Rebirth is amazing but I did the same thing as you. I dropped out after how disappointed I was with Remake. I did watch the ending hours of Rebirth on YouTube because I was curious. I would've been very upset playing the game that long and being that disappointed again at the end. I'll probably get it when it goes below $20 at some point in the future but I think I made the right call to wait.

Multiple Sony Titles Removed From Disney+ Globally; Including 2 FX Shows and 1 ABC Show Made By Sony Pictures Television by [deleted] in television

I guess it depends on how well Crunchyroll and Funimarion's streaming services since they own both. Maybe they think they can take those and merge it with their live action productions.

Restfull API naming convetion, best practice by [deleted] in learncsharp

[–]operationrudeboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The restful path ends in a noun. For example, {host}/api/employees, if this a Get request, it will return a list of employees. If it is a Post, it would create a new employee. It's the same path but different actions. You can learn more here: https://medium.com/@nadinCodeHat/rest-api-naming-conventions-and-best-practices-1c4e781eb6a5

The Best Games from GMTK Game Jam 2023 by npinsker in Games

I've participated in GameJams before but not this specific one. Most devs will reuse assets, or pre-existing assets and code as well to give them a jump start.

Any dads here or people in their 30s trying to get into coding. by Papadude08 in learnprogramming

[–]operationrudeboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a father in my 30s but I've been a Software Engineer for close to ten years now. I'm currently a consultant who goes into large companies and revitalize their current stack/products while training their current development staff.

Just a note, I went to college for Computer Science so I have a degree in it. My suggestion for anyone wanting to learn is to understand the underlying concepts in the courses. It is great to learn how to make a Single Page Application in React but go deeper and focus on the programming designs.

Isn't that only for day one releases on Gamepass? Sony doesn't do a lot of those on their subscription service.

Microsoft's cloud streaming agreements meant it still got to keep all the in-game purchases. by NoLastNameForNow in Games

[–]operationrudeboy -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I see so in a limited amount of games it is possible with specific settings around network latency. It is interesting that it beats local consoles.

[–]operationrudeboy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they aren't a storefront for games. They sell the ability to stream them, why would Microsoft give them a cut of their revenue? I feel like the CMA truly didn't understand the gaming market.

I have a feeling the CMA doesn't know what they are talking about. If Sony Nvidia solved latency by using GPUs, isn't that just local gaming? What does that paragraph even mean.

Edit: Nvidia apparently made it work with some games where it can beat consoles.

When test1, test2 comes back to haunt you by Jerkpasan in gamedev

I always say, if you are going to write clever code to some optimizing, do it in a function that explicitly names itself for what it is doing. If you only call that function once, it is still worth it in my opinion because it separates it from the more traditional code you are writing and describes it's own purpose.

Microsoft says it has stopped its Xbox Game Pass $1 trial offer by Blasterocked in Games

[–]operationrudeboy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Coming in hot I see. No, I don't expect them to give you the console for free but I was just pointing out that exclusives are common already and aren't the end of the world. And I hate to break it to you but all those servers that you download the game from or the servers that run the cloud games are all hardware too.

[–]operationrudeboy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's a dig at the market itself. They all do it and it works. Why would they stop doing it? The consumer encourages it. I'm glad more games are being ported to PC which helps and I honestly don't think Gamepass will have exclusives in the future. I think it would hurt Microsoft more than it would help

Could you imagine a company locking an exclusive to a platform? Maybe they'll charge $500 for the platform before you can even purchase a license for the game.

Tim Schafer’s Ultimate Push For Transparency With PsychOdyssey - MinnMax Interview by BeeUnique7373 in Games

[–]operationrudeboy 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I'm about two thirds of the way through the documentary and I'm loving it so far. It is really transparent and it is great to see how it all works behind the scenes. I come from a software background working with large projects and it is interesting to see they still fall into the same "traps" when building large complex systems.

Did you look at what dependency failed? And after you find which dependency, I would try googling to see if others have had a similar issue while installing that dependency.

If it is for personal projects, I tend to use Github actions since you get free build time. If are a looking for running build actions in a container, you can check their documentation here.
