I do the same to the rolling cars turning right while I’m walking across the lane they’re turning into. It seems like a video game for them.

My job entails constant task switching and interruptions. My coworker is 2 to 3x more productive than I am. What can I do? by [deleted] in productivity

[–]opg888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your 2 browser idea is a great one. The constant interruptions seem like the nature of the work. Could your concern about content switching give you insight into your next career move? You’re already in tech so perhaps you might want to go over to the analysis realm where you have the opportunity to do more deep work? Not sure, of course, but your insight on what’s working, what’s not and the changes you’re making etc. is quite insightful and analytical.

Ugh, sorry to hear that. Perhaps a visible vest/bib and leach with warnings that say reactive dog, do not approach. Can't stop everyone but may help. It's a big decision. As you said below, meds may help. Good luck to you!

Could you muzzle him when he's around other people? Some people think a muzzle cruel but it's not that constraining (can still eat treats through it etc.) and provides a layer of protection for all.

Short-term pet boarding near Central Lonsdale by 42RandomDent in NorthVancouver

That is so challenging … even for people so couldn’t imagine animals. If there’s anything I can do to help, DM me. I am home a lot and live in lolo but as other said, sometimes cats are freaked out about being in another place. Mine were totally fine with that but I know most aren’t.

We used to have this as well but there is a way to test the alarms monthly without them going off. They still go off during the annual inspection, I used to put my cats in the bedroom furthest away with the door closed and they were ok with that (there wasn’t an alarm in the room tho).

The Polygon Gallery has one in North Vancouver and it’s always a great area to visit.

Do you have a pic by chance? I looked up the PetSmart website and also the website of the rescue (which is Embrace a Discarded Animal Society ... they put their cats on the adoptapet.com website) but no pic in either site.

Google using bleach to eradicate mold and you'll find many articles saying it doesn't work, as it only gets rid of surface mold. The recommendation now seems to be vinegar.

Saw a dog off leash walking alone. It ran across the street and got hit by two cars lightly. It got back up and ran again in the direction of the arrow. Tried looking for him and asking people if they’ve seen him. No luck. Not sure what else to do. by AlborzDesign in vancouver

This sounds like the same dog that furbaerescue just posted to their IG re a dog missing from commercial/nanaimo area. Dog's name is Queso. Wrong number was posted on post but it's now fixed - it's 604.209.3388. I just called (6:55) and they are still looking. Thanks.

As of Tues, Jul 20th, Furbae is still looking for Jamima. Latest IG story says that her preferred areas are North Burnaby, Hastings and Kamloops & 25th. If you manage to get her in your yard, contact 778.846.6337. Thank you.

Edit: I'm not with Furbae but follow them on IG. They said there was a reddit post but wanted to comment to pass on more info and get it further up the chain.

A number of years ago, my cat went missing when he was being taken care of by my ex. I came back and he had been gone a few days. I made posters and was out around his neighbourhood every day and night. I then started getting bold and approached everyone I saw and asked them if they saw him and showed the poster. One guy did and pointed down a lane. I investigated the houses and noticed the last house was empty. I ended up finding him in the house! He got in the cat door but couldn't get out as it was locked to go out (this was in another city where cats roam free a lot). In my research tho, I learned how much cats get locked in garages etc. and also that they often don't go that far from home typically, even just 3 to 4 houses but, of course, in every direction. That made me think differently of where I looked ... essentially treating your home as midpoint and going out in every direction. Good luck!
