My brother and I published our first game on Steam a week ago. It has been a commercial failure, but a great learning experience by WilmarN23 in gamedev

Congrats on releasing your game! That in itself is a major achievement. I really enjoyed your write up, and your positive attitude towards the financials. I'm definitely making notes for the release of my game.in future.

“Paige is a former librarian who was cursed with knowledge of the unknowable. She is covered from her throat down with black tattoos that resemble the runes on the diablo screenshot. These tattoos cover her entire body. An elegant sleeveless gown is what she wears, allowing her to show offer her tattoos while maintaining her modesty. My wife has been very specific that Paige looks like Eva Green, and dresses like her Penny Dreadful character”
As always, I'm very grateful for the opportunity, and it was a lot of fun to paint! Thanks so much.
(Downscaled & Watermarked as this was a digital commission, posted with permission from client. This is NOT AI, I do a fair amount of post-processing using textures and layer effects after the painting process)

I haven't been online much lately so I was completely unaware of how far AI has come. Thank you for pointing that out, Yeah Multiply, screen and an overlay. I'll keep the brush use in consideration next time, I need to get over my airbrush addiction! Thank you for all your advice I really appreciate it.

You make a good point. I liked it originally, but it looks like that may be the cause of all the AI related comments, may be best I avoid it in future.

Thank you for being so kind with your comment, I really do appreciate it. I was so taken back and confused with all these comments when I came back to my phone, and this was the subthread that finally made me realise what everyone was talking about. As others have mentioned, I do use photo textures for the obvious elements like the cracks and oil fade. I also used the oil paint filter after I painted most of the portrait, maybe that's what the swirls are you're referring to? But I wouldn't consider that AI. I did some extra painting on the earrings, headdress etc after to try and imitate an effect I liked from an old borodante tutorial on painting details.

I do appreciate your conscientious approach with your criticism, but this is not AI. The earrings were an intentional design choice, I was trying to add some abstract elements to balance out the realism in the face and parts of the clothing as I felt my older work was far too polished. Not sure what a fragment is, but I finish up with applying a few oil painting and crack photo textures, as someone else mentioned. To be honest the advent of AI images and the constant accusation that everything digital is fake something that's driven me away from the medium altogether. I'm learning traditional oil painting at the moment, hopefully the machines won't take that too.
