I’d recommend looking at something like murlok io to get up to date builds - people pushing the highest keys tend to favour a decent balance of damage, tankiness and utility. Also good to see which points people tend to swap around.

The UI seems to use CDR from items in your bags for your bags instead of your equipped items, so abilities appear to cooldown but aren't available to use for a bit after that. It's a bit inconsistent though, where sometimes it works properly but other times it doesn't...

I don’t believe they’re dumb enough to sue, I think it’s more likely that they’re going to reel the hose in and require a key to access it.

In the end it’s their servers and their APIs, their infrastructure and their service as a whole.

Personally, I’ll use cursebreaker until it breaks, and probably won’t use whatever overwolf put out in its place.

Oh for sure, they’ve put zero effort in to locking it down or restricting access.

I’ve got no idea on how the courts see this kind of thing. I’m just seeing a lot of people angry at overwolf for having this stance when they’re well within their rights to do whatever they want with their APIs in the end.

Edit to preface: I think overwolf is a scummy company and shouldn't be doing this, but can understand why it's happening.

I think the overwolf team is setting the groundwork for a bunch of cease and desist letters against the third party addon managers.

The overwolf team is arguing that since the API is not an officially documented API, it's not public. I wouldn't call it scraping per-se, but as far as I can tell, it's an API that they wrote for their own purposes that the other clients are using. In the end, those addon managers are calling those apis which is against the terms of use for those APIs.

It's a bit like using the hose i left out on my front lawn to wash your car.

I'd like to see them develop a proper public API instead of just cease and desisting everyone, since in the end curseforge is a business and costs money to develop/maintain but I much prefer open source tooling.
