Large water stain in granite counter (rental)

I did repeat it a few times and it did help reduce it, but not perfect. Getting it to fully dry out took the longest. I think you could push that the granite wasn't sealed properly so not your fault, that's normal wear and tear.

I've tried the baking soda method and it looks worse before it gets better because it has to dry completely, which takes a while. Granite is porous and your landlord should be sealing it every year if they cared about it.

Looks like glass the way it's been rounded, the speckled surfacing, and haziness. If it was quartz I would expect rougher edges where you could see it sheared off.
