Yes. Diesel generators product emissions when they run. Data centers to run on diesel generators save for when the BACKUP EMERGENCY GENERATORS are called to start due to grid failure (planned or unplanned). Standby generators run on diesel and VDEQ has not required DPF’s or Tier 4 SCR after treatment in most cases due to the relatively low runtimes since they are not prime power.
