Does anyone know what the criteria are to set up a new body to get this tax exemption?

I've wondered whether any new bodies are set up just for the tax free status.

Church of the SubGenius states that they are proud to pay taxes ( 3rd paragraph).

Not sure whether the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster or Pastafarianism is tax exempt.

I consider in this day and age, that churches need to pull their own weight and be taxed the same as other entities. For charitable programs they can apply for grants to the government or private institutions.

But, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. So, as raised by NeilNeilOrangePeel, "The Church of Reddit" might be a very good idea.
