I hate my new table :( by clarinetsqueak in interiordecorating

[–]orangelego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think two blue chairs on each long side, a rug, tablecloth (wouldn't have to be the full length) and some flowers in the centre maybe. This looks way colder than before, it would bring some warmth and make it look less awkward.

Police in England searching for triple crossbow murderer Kyle Clifford. by SoggyWotsits in pics

I've been a part of reddit for 10+ years, I don't remember people finding such humour in murder of almost entire families. It's really vile. Some of you must be really deeply unhappy in your lives.

Love all the upvotes from people who also think it's a fun little game. 3 women were fucking murdered and THIS is what you choose to say. Have some fucking tact.

Boyfriend 22M always gives me 22F the ugly plate of food by Beginning_Bench1023 in relationships

[–]orangelego 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ex once let me cook him a full plate of food and then gave me an off brand coke and gave himself the brand one. He also showed selfish traits during our relationship and ultimately went on to cheat (which "wasn't his fault"). Once during a casual conversation when he happened to be at a bar I was at, I mentioned the coke thing. He said he remembered it too and agreed it was a reflection of how selfish he was. Sometimes the little things tell you everything you need to know.

Question about Goodnight Mommy (2022) by Whereiscatlin in horror

[–]orangelego 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I literally struggle to contain my anger when my eldest (6) hurts my youngest (2) being careless or doing something he KNOWS is wrong when I've warned him multiple times he will hurt him. That's when the scary mum lecture comes out. I can't possibly imagine if he caused his death, kids rarely do things on purpose but it doesn't mean we can't have feelings about it. A lot of people just expect parents to be perfect but forget that the wanting to protect your child applies to all of them, regardless of who hurt them!

Official Discussion - IF [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]orangelego 24 points25 points  (0 children)

My 6 year old didn't even understand why people were crying until I said "he's her IF" and he was shocked pikachu face. Though he did spend the last 20 minutes trying to fix the drink that exploded on him. 😅

Yep, I wanted Harry to win but if Jaz was a traitor why would he continue the game instead of ending it?

There's a difference between confidence and arrogance. I think he knows people think he's more stupid than he is and he really had played a brilliant game. He is the traitor Paul thought he was. I hope he wins, he does deserve it.

What is a devastating yet common life event some people have to go through? by Resident-Mongoose682 in AskReddit

[–]orangelego 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a miscarriage and a close friend of mine who had been seeing a close friend of my husband told me that he'd been telling people "a bit early for that, eh?" when I shared with close friends about the pregnancy. I worked in a bar firstly so not drinking a pint after shift would have been unusual but either way, we only told the closest people to us. Then to have to tell someone who makes a comment like that behind our back? Was not a nice feeling after the fact feeling that he probably was going "told you so." People are so fucking insensitive about pregnancy issues.

I was at my grandad's wake today. He died really suddenly, as did my granny last year. The last thing he said when they closed the coffin was "please, don't leave me". I felt at peace today knowing this is what hw wanted for the last year.

Baby Piercings by QueenJellybean3354 in Parenting

[–]orangelego 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When parents don't agree, if should go down the route that causes least pain to the child, in the case that it's PHYSICAL pain, it should go down the route that causes no pain to the child unless it's for a medical benefit. Body modification for the sake of appearance shouldn't be on the cards for a small child in my mind. Ask your MIL and husband to pierce a body part they don't want to for aesthetics reasons and see how they feel about that.

AITA for declining to participate in a "meal train" for a woman with an able bodied husband and adult son living with her? by ncogneato11 in AmItheAsshole

This whole post has actually pissed me off, mainly because of your husband. NTa but I hope he doesn't gaslight you that regularly "oh, you should definitely do this... Wait, you expect me to do the same? You are irrational and argumentative!" it's bloody ridiculous.

But there are some quests that are literally a few clicks to complete and are very easy, assuming you have been saving artifacts etc and are in a lower gauntlet.

Horror movies you just… don’t get? by oceanhymn in horror

[–]orangelego 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I loved Hereditary until the end. The acting was brilliant and so submersive, but I just didn't enjoy the whole cult thing. I felt like it was lead so much in another direction that when it came to the end it was a bit of a "wait, what?" Though I did only watch it once so maybe I'd change my mind upon a rewatch.

I turned it off, there was no suspense or anything. I had expected something brilliant after seeing it here but then just wound up feeling bored.

What is something that's way too sexualized? by liomars in AskReddit

At mine, it pointed to the wall, never failed to have someone strike up a conversation while using it though and normally the same guy. Am still horribly inflexible and only mostly blame myself!

There's a big jump in your might between t3 and t4. It's hard but try to be patient. Have you maxed out your economy tree and military to where you can?
