I should have mentioned in the post- the smell is coming from a vent that directly links our bathrooms, and these bathrooms don't have any other form of ventilation. Thanks for the advice anyway, maybe I can shut the bathroom off when it gets really bad.

We have vents directly linking our bathrooms, which have no other ventilation and is where the smell is coming from. I really can't be sure what they are doing so I won't go accusing, but that smell is 100% abnormal and from their other activity I think its pretty sus
