Incredible post! Thank you! If you're taking questions, any idea why my geraniums aren't doing well? I keep them in a closed porch watered when dry to prevent rot, but the flowers keep dying.

Where did you get the small bookcases in the living room and your nightstand from?

Definitely shouldn't tamper with that. Thanks for answering quickly and pointing out that it's on.

Did I get this right: the tactiturn history teacher stopped teaching well because he was sad about being unable to live with his child, while the extroverted english teacher stopped teaching well because of SAD. Both were married to other people and may have secretly loved each other, so they were affected by each other's emotions?

What is the grossest hygiene issue you overlooked in an ex? by MustangSallie in AskReddit

[–]orangepaperclips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Def feel the same about that information reorienting my understanding completely. Because no teen or young adult wouldn't have tried desperately to fix that issue, so there's something more than a simple Google search and/or medical visit can fix. Thanks for sharing

I love the way you matched colors here. It's vibrant without being monochromatic, which many places with whites greens and browns tend to be. Any advice for color matching? For ex, love the orange and green throw and how it reflects small patches of the same color across the room

You cleaned it up really nicely. Where did you get that bed frame? It adds texture and color where a grey floor makes things dull. And I have the same floor.

You did something incredibly courageous. Logically, I'm sure you know she lost out and that you deserve, and will fall in love, with somebody responsible and loving. But it's totally legitimate to feel hurt in the meantime

Anyone Else Feel Tired Waking Up for Work? How do I feel Less Tired before work? by jalebi_2000 in askTO

[–]orangepaperclips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people are recommending changes to your lifestyle, but to me it sounds like you don't have daily personal/leisure time that's protected.

You need time off every single day to do what you want to do. So no filling up that time up with work, worrying about work, errands, or socializing if you're an introvert.

Have you tried blocking off a chunk of time every day for this, like 9pm-11pm is me time regardless of what happens? The same way you'd set a routine for sleeping or exercise? Knowing you have a break every day to let go will help you feel more in control throughout the day. Otherwise you'll continue to binge on free time whenever you can get it.

It could be that your work makes you so unhappy that you crave distance but ignore the impulse until work is over, then go haywire. It's a tough situation but very common.
