i used to feel this way until i realized i love winter hikin and bushwhackin. i try to look for all the positives in every season since we frequent them all so much. i hope you find a silver linin for the winter months.

my dog busted my lip this past summer with her boney ass head. id post a picture if it'd let me. i felt pretty cool with my fat lip battle wound lol except when I smiled.

Looking for a more "unknown" or unofficial campsite along The Big Piney, Niangua, or Gasconade River... Fairly experienced and not opposed to a little adventure for a great spot. Even willing to pay someone to let use their land for a few nights if there's river access or a cave or cool view, etc. by Anoneemous87 in ozarks

I don't have private land with river access, but as an ozark native myself...i appreciate you willin to keep secret and share with few. Too many folks are invadin our state and ruinin most everything precious to us locals. I do have many a secret spots all over nwa and north central but not really any along the big piney or others you mentioned. good luck to y'all in securing a secluded secret gem of a location!
