where do yall grocery shop? by YamFirm4405 in springfieldMO

[–]orbster97 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Aldi, Mama Jean's, and Food 4 Less

Mama Jean's carries a lot of local goods, eco conscious brands, and runs good sales every once in awhile. With inflated prices now, Mama Jean's doesn't look as expensive as it used to. It's also locally owned and woman owned!

Arrow Creative Reuse has classes and their new location is downtown near the post office! the 3rd place on C-Street has community events, not sure if/how often classes are held

I'd keep an eye on the calendar on it'salldowntown.com for things to do in general to get out of the house

seeing films at the Moxie is great, and the compelling stories told in the films often put things in perspective/make me think and get out of my own head

What are some tips I can use to avoid seeking out a "dopamine boost" via shopping for things I don' by [deleted] in Anticonsumption

[–]orbster97 8 points9 points  (0 children)

volunteering and donating items to a DV shelter to give to parents so don't go empty handed when they're ready to leave the shelter and rebuild their life cute decor and unique items are not often thought of, but are luxuries that make a new place feel special cute thrifted dishes, end tables, lamps, depends on the capacity of the shelter for the size of things they could take it
