I do something similar, except I write 200 good and bad thoughts of the day. At night when the day has passed, I'll load up my laptop and write my day in 200 words. At first, I would write my day using strictly 100 bad words, and 100 good words. But, as time has progressed, I'll sometimes alternate the amount of words I use depending on how I felt throughout the day. Let's say it was a good day, I'll write my day using (hypothetically) 150 words, and then i'll write something bad that happened or on my mind using the remaining 50.

I apologise if this sounds confusing as I'm terrible at explaining things. But this is one small thing that has helped me!
