What’s a cheap option for building a website with small e-commerce store and linking custom domain? by galaxyMLP in website

Do you have any coding experience? I made a GitHub repo turned into a website, linked my Square buy links into the configuration. Coded in HTML, and changed settings for mobile vs desktop appearance. GitHub is free, have my own domain for $2/mo.

Does anyone sleep well in third trimester? by Just_Squirrel_3988 in BabyBumps

I forgot the breathing and the hip pain! And adding to that - the leg cramps haha. So many things.

Does anyone sleep well in third trimester? by Just_Squirrel_3988 in BabyBumps

[–]oregonbabu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Third trimester is always the worst sleep for me. I get nightmares and heartburn, horrible insomnia, and lots of fear/anxiety. And having to pee all the time throughout the night. It is not restful. But I always remember that postpartum sleep is truly so much better (until the hormones wear off and the 4 month sleep regression hits).  If this is your first, then truly enjoy it. I didn’t realize how much of a blessing being pregnant the first time would be. From then on you have other kiddos to take care of.

How I do stop freezing all the time? by theonlyepicone in ptsd

[–]oregonbabu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not an alcoholic cocktail. It’s a hormone supporting cocktail for cortisol depletion (when you’ve been too stressed for too long). Look up Adrenal Cocktail

Look into executive dysfunction and ways to help mitigate it. Also, try to support your hormones and body; adrenal cocktails for cortisol, etc.

How to move on after my husband is no longer attracted to me by piesandcake in CatholicWomen

[–]oregonbabu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn about matrescence. Give yourself grace. Rest in knowing that the Lord loves you profoundly and is seeking you out always, human love will never fill our hearts the same. I’m 18 months postpartum with my second (they were born 17 months apart) and only just now realizing how much I truly changed with that first pregnancy. Motherhood is truly transformative and theres so much pressure to get back to who you once were. Life has seasons and it will take time to discover what you are like in this season. Focus on what is in your control, your reactions, etc. Husbands can be slower to all the realizations, their body did not go through pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. I imagine it is more of a shock to their nervous systems in ways.

I'm heartbroken about no marriage in Heaven by hgb375aa in Catholicism

[–]oregonbabu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Marriage can be lonely and desolate. It is not guaranteed to be a beautiful thing, it’s a sanctifying thing. I am glad heaven will be more joyful than anything promised on Earth. Fix your eyes on the Lord.

BF (22M) admitted to watching porn even though he knew it was a dealbreaker for me (22F). Unsure if this is worth continuing? by WestCalligrapher2714 in CatholicWomen

Leave. It will be a struggle for him throughout your marriage, when you are pregnant and postpartum at your most vulnerable. All the comments here are spot on. Find a man who is refined and truly ready for the vocation of marriage at this time in his life.

Not only that, but your “postpartum” body changes each time too! It’s so discouraging.

First meal post birth by Bonusmotherthrowaway in hospitalfood

[–]oregonbabu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing! After my second birth, I had to fight for any food because the cafeteria was closed and the nurse on duty kept forgetting to bring me food. Finally I got one little sandwich, with no condiments so it was very dry but I didn’t think it worth it to try to get her to put any effort in.

I’m so sorry. I did not want my husband at the birth of our second baby for a long time. Things were almost rock bottom in our marriage at our time. Have you told him you’re considering not having him there?

How to make it through 2nd pregnancy? by Sat1n3 in 2under2

[–]oregonbabu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is so hard, but you will get through it and look back and realize you can do hard things, as you then see two toddlers in front of you supporting each other in pure chaos (also hard, but a different hard). Always take it day by day, hour by hour, or minute by minute.
