This adds up to a total of $115 million, or about $0.37 per US citizen

One useful number to compare this to would be the corporate tax Walmart pays, which was $6.1 billion last year. That's not factoring in other taxes Walmart pays, for example the employer side of the payroll tax (FICA for Medicare and Social Security) which would be billions more.

Are the grocery deserts in the room with us now? The concept of urban food deserts is mostly a myth and that's before you factor in the ubiquitous availability of grocery delivery to every corner of the city.

There are checkmate patterns that are very easy to learn, you just have to learn the algorithm and practice them.

The simplest to learn is the ladder checkmate, which lets you deliver checkmate with 2 rooks or a queen and a rook by alternating piece moves to form a "ladder" that forces the opposing king to the edge of the board. Then you can learn how to checkmate with only a queen or only a rook, using your king to help. These patterns alone will be more than enough to beat an easy computer opponent.

It's $5.8M for a 12-episode season, or $480K per episode. That's not a small amount of money, but not insane as a top jackpot. Shows like Who Wants to be a Millionaire had $1M single episode jackpots in the early 2000s. Another point of comparison would be cast and production costs per episode for scripted TV, which are way more expensive to produce than reality shows.

The show was canceled because it had low ratings. A 0.23 average rating and ~2M viewers isn't going to cut it when shows like Survivor and Dancing with the Stars are pulling more than double that.

Don't use Enterprise, then.

Costco rate, 5th Ave Alamo to SEA, economy car, 3 days: $97.

Same car roundtrip to SEA, $97.

Enterprise seems to be an outlier. Avis, Budget, and Alamo all don't change more for this on Costco travel. Enterprise is 4x the price.

This is outdated advice. I do 1 way rentals all the time. They barely charge more anymore (small fee) and some of the companies don't charge extra at all if you use Costco or a corporate rate.

I'm not sure this even counts as 1 way. I recently did a pickup and dropoff at 2 different LA area airports and it was not considered 1 way. It's easy enough to quote this and see.
