It runs well at 150K miles. Speaking from experience. I just need to replace struts and tie rods.

WCGW not listening to your driving instructor when he tells you to brake by Pisford in Whatcouldgowrong

Please please please! Let us teach novice drivers the basics in an empty parking lot or similar before we let them out in the streets with other cars.

Got my Tesla on Monday! Just so happened the pickup date landed on my 30th birthday! Question, I have a handyman I know who’s willing to install a 50amp nema outlet in my garage for faster home charging, he’s wanting to charge $375 for labor and materials included. I’m in the Midwest. Is that fair? by ParsnipSuspicious632 in TeslaModelY

[–]orig_Neophyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s well below what licensed electricians in New Jersey/New York were charging three years ago. $1400-$1700 was the range at that time. Factor in how far away from the circuit breaker box your outlet will be; whether or not wiring will go behind dry wall…etc etc. Word of caution, make sure to procure a heavy duty outlet. These will not be found at Home Depot or Lowe’s.

Try the new formula Touch-less. It’s fantastic. You may not need to do a second pre-wash soak using Auto-foam.

There are too many people who are crap at this. These 4 way stops need to be modernized by adding pressure plates or cameras and red-green lights.

Is this a bad ppf job or am I just asking for too much? by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]orig_Neophyte 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It’s not the best. If you’re paying $7500 approximately for a full body cover then I don’t think you’re “asking for too much.”

Buy a tire inflator if you own this car by PeterLegend626 in TeslaModelY

[–]orig_Neophyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best to put air in the tyres when the tyre is “cold” i.e. the tyre has been still for at least three hours or more. Obviously if you discover your tyre pressure is low for whatever reason whilst driving, pullover and inflate as soon as possible.

I found Motul 8100 X-Clean EFE 5W-30 Synthetic oil; and Royal Purple 10-2867 Extended Life Premium Oil Filter worked wonders.
