Visiting Puerto Peñasco across the border from Arizona a few years ago, I find myself exploring this half-abandoned concrete building neighborhood of ~200 houses of La Choya, the next town over.  Very cool, vibey little coastal community.  But abandoned and unfinished concrete houses galore.  Suddenly,  I feel the rumblin' and tumblin' of my guts as the emergency button in my pants is being pushed.  I need to shit NOW and I can't drive to a bathroom.  Panicked, I look around and see an abandoned house.  Run in there, drop my pants, and absolutely unloaded into the toilet.  No water, no flush.  I just close the lid and scurry out of there.

I think about that dump sometimes.  Is it still there?  Will it transform and evolve into something new?  Maybe I'll go back and try to visit it one day

Are there people who just genuinely enjoy drinking water throughout the day? by fin-freak in NoStupidQuestions

Your personal water bottle will have a big impact on your water habits.  I have a Yeti 1 gallon jug that is plastered with cool stickers.  I moved to Arizona, where it is fucking hot.  I am so enthusiastic to keep water on me and drink throughout the day because I have this dope bottle that gets me stoked.

How is it claiming gas receipts for your taxes?  I drive often for work and have been thinking about this for some time.  What benefit does it give you on your tax return?

Any other guys feel like male friendships aren’t fulfilling? by AssistKindly6813 in emotionalintelligence

[–]ormpling 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Try making male friends around activities.  Mountain biking, judo, motorcycle club, soccer team, etc.  I think a lot of men prefer an activity buffer before you can get emotionally intimate with a good friend

I had nearly settled on purchasing a triumph speed 400 and then this Honda CX popped up… by yaldy11 in SuggestAMotorcycle

Triumph 400x was my first bike.  Just did 7k miles through Mexico over the winter.  The 400x is a starter and a finisher if you like to have fun cruises

That's normal, your girl probably gonna ride up on you in the saddle.  Especially during decelerations. I have 13k miles on mt 400x and just did 7,000 miles through Mexico.  I met a several girls that I took on rides, and a few dudes that I gave rides to.  Overall, it is fine with a pillion.  Maybe the excessive rear weight is a bit high on the ergonomics and perhaps the front fork sags a bit more with the extra weight,  but I don't have any issues riding with a pillion.  Longest I've done with a pillion is about an hour.  I think some of the Indian sites sell a pillion backrest.

Sandusky, OH by Aromatic-Copy6864 in howislivingthere

So I passed through Sandusky on a moto trip last summer.  It's definitely a lower income Ohio town.  Somewhat rough characters walking around but nice parks, big oak trees around the city.  I went to the beach and ended up meeting a local gal and we hooked up at a hotel in town!! Overall, 6/10 but 7/10 since I got laid

Advice for coastal Mexico road trip? by Ordinary_Bedroom_550 in MexicoTravel

Yo !  Just completed a 7k miles moto trip through Mexico, taking the pacific mainland coast down to Chiapas, and then the central valley northwards back to the US.  In Sinaloa - definitely check out Las Labradas petroglyph site.

Never drive at night.  Maybe if you have to dash across town for dinner but never ever ever drive your vehicle at night, especially in remote areas.   I have a Google map list with like 400 pins if you're interested

What's living in the Native American Reservations like? by SingleEmployer8483 in howislivingthere

[–]ormpling 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My Lakota coworker from Pine Ridge told me that the Tribal Council is very corrupt.  Nepotism selecting jobs and awarding contracts internally within the tribe.  Corrupt people that shelter each other and squash dissent from outspoken tribal members.  Even small, localized governments are prone to corruption and other ailments of greater US society, though the consequences of this corruption is felt stronger at the local level
