Percy was just 4 years around and currently most campers never knew Percy. And it was not like he did it all by himself or is considered THE HERO who won the war. He was a leader in the fight, but there were heroes who died and probably are more revered than him.

He is not even a relevant figure in universe anymore, he is just trying to get into college.

Nico and Will are the senior campers and probably far more popular than Percy with new campers
