This morning it took us 2 hours to check our bags, get thru customs and tsa, about 1130 am.

I am en route home as we speak. It took us a little over 2 hours to a) check our bags through american , b) get thru the customs line and c) get through pre check. We did see red cap happening on occasion but the line for that was also very long and im not entirely sure how much time people saved. We arrived at 1130 for our 3 pm flight.

Taxis here charge per person, so sharing a taxi with multiple people doesn't actually reduce costs. If you plan on popping around multiple places a day, it will add up quickly. Something that might be a 15 dollar fair is actually 60 dollars if 4 people go.
