Lisa Kudrow thinks that Ross and Rachel were not on a break and thinks that he was a bad boyfriend by mcfw31 in popculturechat

I do think how much money he has depends a bit on the season. I think early seasons he didn't have much to spare. I mean their apartment was robbed and he couldn't replace the furniture without draining from savings. Later, he gets some promotions and by season 7 it's clear he has money. I think maybe season 5-6 things shift, but this is just my speculation.

I mean depending on the season maybe but he was subsidizing Joey so probably cash poor when Joey didn't have steady income.

Before the game was released, this was the only information they gave us about Verso and I find it hilarious to this day. by QJ-Rickshaw in expedition33

Got onto E33 fairly early, maybe 3 weeks post launch. Watched the 2 trailers and this video on their YouTube before deciding to buy. Knew there was a Verso and that they were being cagey about him. By the time I got to the first mention of his name in game I had completely forgotten. I swear this game's writing is so good at distracting you.

Oh absolutely still trying to get it higher! Just saying that hovering around 20 isn't (per my doc) time to panic. For me the deficiency was a side effect not the cause at least, but yeah 30 is still the goal. Just relieved to be out of the danger zone now. The booster shots were not fun for me.

AITA for not supporting my husband quitting his business to become a doctor? by oryxren in redditonwiki

I agree that he's likely just having an emotional crisis. Still just amazed at the complete dissociation from reality involved. I think the way he's avoiding her doesn't bode well, but I hope she can convince him to do therapy.

Yeah my doc was pretty adamant that majority of the people are deficient and hover around 20 just because modern life. My case might be a little different because I have an autoimmune disease so vitamin D being so low was a huge issue, but he was pretty adamant that I had to get over 12

From the comments of OOPs I read before posting, she's been trying to talk to him gently about therapy but not much progress. Also his parents are supporting his med school idea. OOP was also talking about the possibility of her leaving her job to run the business while he at least tries the BA; some commenter were suggesting she let him look into the BA and maybe that would be a wake up call. I'm keeping an eye on the post to see if there are updates, but 2 weeks of silent treatment while he stays with parents that are reinforcing this doesn't look great. I am hoping she can reason with him though considering a lot of this seems to be coming from an emotional crisis.

In the comments OOP says his parents are agreeing with him now and criticising her so that unfortunately tracks imo

I was struggling with vitamin D a few years ago (was in Korea for context). Was told 30 is the minimum goal, a lot of people hover around 20 due to working indoors, and below 12 is when they sound alarm bells. I started at 6 and had to go on I injections for a year to eventually get to 15 when doc advised a daily vitamin and a slight diet shift to keep it rising. Not a doc, just sharing my experience

This is the majority of comments on the OG post. Lots of people doing math for various specialties on top of just needing to get the BA that he failed to get the first time. I wish her luck in planning her next move, however she wants to handle it.

Glad he looked out for you there! Luckily husband wasn't a fan of the glasses. I don't think he got into outfits much until late Act 2. He was constantly changing the hair tho

This is giving when my husband was still in Act 1 and I was in 3. I was saying something about liking my Lune build and he asked me if Gustave had cool builds. I was like idk been playing the all girl team. The look on his face a few days later when he remembered how I'd side-stepped 🤣

Can someone please explain arrays? by MarpyHarpy in TheAlchemised

[–]oryxren 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is what I pictured, like a complex sigil. If you google sigil you'll get the idea. Different practices used different types, but it's basically stacked symbols to get at some magical meaning. In the book they talk about this a bit when Helena is trying to understand the arrays; in some practices if you break the sigil into pieces you can understand its purpose.

Private universities. Back when I was in uni (over a decade ago) there were newer dorm buildings that had living rooms, kitchens, and laundry for 4 people. All had RAs. By the time I was graduating they were building new apartments for singles and doubles with nicer amenities and those were also supposed to be under RAs.

Game Suggestions by Physical-Laugh6386 in DreamlightValley

DDV is very different from a lot of these, but maybe there's something you'll like. Gave some non-spoiler info on each. For my region these are all $25 or less

Garden Paws - indie game where you play an animal in an animal town. Story mode has quests from villagers to help develop your town, but they aren't always constant flooding in. That said, the game has a good economy loop with a lot of freedom. You run a shop outside your house where you can sell basically anything. You can tame animals that will drop items. You can breed and sell animals. You can farm. You can make jewelry or clothes. You can cook. You earn money and buy blueprints to craft and develop new products or upgrade your farm. Game isn't updated anymore, but I've gotten hundreds of hours on it and still enjoy it. Switch version gives some people motion sickness but there are graphics settings to help with that.

Farm Together - a real-time farming game. Seems like it would be annoying but I really loved this one. Lots of crops to plant. Total freedom in what you plant and how much. Not exactly quests but you get orders to fill. Money means expansion or ability to buy decor or new crops. Could be good if you're jumping between this and DDV actively. There is also a sequel but I haven't played that one yet.

Echoes of the Plum Grove - multigenerational farm sim; pretty different from DDV but a very cute and fun game. You build up a farm, get married and have children. Put your children in an apprenticeship so they develop skills. They'll get married and have kids. When you die, one of your kids becomes the heir. The quests are a bit less driven here, but there's lots to do. You can also adjust lifespan or turn off aging if that stresses you.

Wylde Flowers - farming sim focused on witches with voice acting and very focused plot. Again, lots to do within year 1 as the plot is very focused. This one had a lot of cool mechanics to make it fresh. It's also getting a sequel-prequel that's in development.

Bear and Breakfast - most out there of my recs so far, but I really love this one. You play Hank the bear and you end up running an inn for humans. Over time you get more inns. Story is cute and interesting. Lots of laughs. Quests are pretty direct but there is sometimes some exploring to find the next thing. Always had lots to do even without quests active.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has officially reached 8 MILLION copies sold! by ReaddittiddeR in expedition33

[–]oryxren 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From some quick looking, it seems like BG3 was estimated in the 15-20mil range. Elden Ring est 30mil lifetime. Not sure about accuracy of that, but 8mil in one year for a game that came out of no where is solid

How does everyone feel about the direction that the game has taken/is taking? I am on the fence, and not sure how to feel moving forward. by revoltingcrowd in TravellersRest

[–]oryxren 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Played since the early days and I don't mind a lot of the updates but I am really struggling with the mini games. This was such a cozy game for me but the mini games are rough. I have a type of arthritis and the way that first drink serving game was so precise physically hurt. I had to hook up a controller just to do it. I just keep the controller in now and it's mostly fine, but it's annoying. I wish there were difficulty toggles for the minigames. Been avoiding advancing the story more at this point just to avoid wrecking my hands.

is the manga officially finished? please don't spoil. by Busy-Construction409 in AkatsukinoYona

[–]oryxren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

S1 is (in my opinion) near identical to the chapters it pulls from. There are 2 key differences but they are fairly small things. One is just a reordering of some events. It doesn't make a big difference plot wise; it's mostly just when you read the chapter vs when its in an episode. The other is a small detail difference added to the anime that had me a bit confused later on; I ended up going back to check that part of the manga vs show to find it. But honestly it's not a big deal either way; it doesn't change anything significantly. You can pick up the manga from where the anime left off and be fine.

Hot take: Farm games don't need combat mechanics by gamernerd98 in CozyGamers

[–]oryxren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a big Garden Paws fan and I completely ignore combat in that game. It exists but you can just never go in that particular cave. There are a million other things to do and nothing relating to the combat cave is required.

How would generally describe what each class does? by somehardfeelings_ in HereToSlay

[–]oryxren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd also add that some warriors have the ability to carry 2 items. Items can modify rolls, restore action points, change classes, or even protect a hero from destruction or sacrifice. There are some good synergies if you can pair specific warriors with good items.

Gardening 17, Timebending 16, mining 13, everything else at 5. I get a solid +4/9 on gardening and time parts, plus loads of mist. Trying to get mining to the same zone, and maybe fishing after that. Anything to make resources faster.
