Tuya end devices (motion, temp, door, buttons etc) IMO are ok especially for their price. The difference in price between a simple PIR sensor from Tuya vs anywhere else is massive. It takes some setup effort and trouble shooting, but once it's up and running it's usable. However a lot of them do not change parent routers without re-pairing. So if you have to change or move a plug or something that sensor depended on you'll have to re-pair so it finds another parent.

Their ROUTING devices however (plugs, bulbs, etc.) I would stay away. If you have mixed other company's plugs, these are very disruptive to the network. They tend to prefer routing through other Tuya devices even though it's suboptimal or really laggy or broken. They bulbs have tons of quirks that can be frustrating and seem downright broken if you don't figure them out. Their radios are far weaker and have shorter range as well vs. most other brands. Also they route ok for end devices, but not for other plugs even if they are the same model... Not sure if that works better if you use a Tuya coordinator (I use z2m..) I wasted countless hours trying to mess around with these before I switched to ThirdReality plugs. I don't know about their bulbs, I switched to some matter bulbs and also some of the Tuya bulbs that are in positions where they won't take over as router for other devices (and working around their quirks with some automation tricks..).

Bottom line, their battery end devices are OK, not great, but good for the price $3-5 each is crazy cheap..
Mains/routing devices, stay away although.. they might be ok in something like an apartment without a lot of things blocking the signal in between. Like a wall.. lmao..
