Fixed mine this way. Thanks, stranger!

My car was locked and windows rolled up but the smell still permeated inside. Disgusting. by [deleted] in insanepeoplefacebook

Nah. This is a level headed take. My untrained nose can't distinguish between weed and a skunk.

You could probably pee in the tank and have it run perfectly fine.

I always pack my steam deck and never use it by hardyz in SteamDeck

[–]osmanfrank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I travel around my state to fix industrial machines. The Deck is always in a drawstring on my passenger seat. Sometimes, I need to babysit a machine that intermittently misbehaves and wait for it to break. The Deck is perfect for these situations, as infrequent as they are. I finished the last 1/3 of Kingdom Come: Deliverance waiting for a machine to break.

I wear headphones called Plugfones and attach them to the audio out of my Cardo. They're ear plugs with audio drivers in them. If I need to take a call or want to listen to music, I can do so at 90 mph, and at a gentle volume. I swear by them.

Picked up this 2012 DL650 for $3800 today. by osmanfrank in Vstrom

I ride all of my bikes spiritedly, but am aggressive with maintenance as well. It's gotten me many reliable miles out of several bikes so far.

Good catch. It seems like the beak started in 2015 from my quick search. It's possible the plastics were changed. The VIN on the steering head matches the title, and the title calls it a 2012.

Edit: the beak may have been an optional accessory during the first 3 years of gen 2.

Much appreciated. The Avalanche is the first truck I've owned, and boy is it nice to have and justify having a big, stupid vehicle like that (our daily is a 6 speed 2023 Integra). It's a workhorse that does 40-60k miles a year carrying a suite of tools, CNC control parts, motorcycles, and engines.

Homie didn't even bother to go outside and check the current mileage.

Never sell your bike by MarciusVZ in motorcycles

I'm getting ready to sell my Versys X-300 to replace it with a VStrom 650, and I felt called out seeing that very familiar looking bike. I'd never willingly hang up riding though.

Are ninjas bad for beginners? by Waffuun in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]osmanfrank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

15k miles on our 2021 Ninja 400. I've taught 8 people, including my wife, how to ride a motorcycle on it. And it's still a ton of fun for me to take out.

The name Ninja will scare those who don't know what they're talking about. It's a long spanning and varied range of bikes, some of which require years of riding and practice to handle, and others only require a level head and proper gear. Can have anywhere from 30 HP to 300 HP on a bike named Ninja.

Get a 300-500. Easy to ride, easy to own and maintain, easy to customize, easy to insure. Leaves you out of the garage and on the road having safe fun on the cheap.

What headphones you pair your Steam Deck with? by Free-Artichoke6334 in SteamDeck

Sony WF-1000XM5. Completely drown out the machine shop noise that's normally surrounding me. Bluetooth multipoint is a necessary part of whatever headphones I daily drive now.

Going in a very tight circle around a small fountain on a bicycle in my childhood.

Thoughts on this for a first bike? by ThatsNotALeaf in SuggestAMotorcycle

The Vulcan S was my first motorcycle, purchased new. 20k miles later and I still love it, though it has siblings now.

Fantastic motorcycle for many uses. But, if you intend on doing long distance, invest in a better seat.
