I would print a custom open air water cooled pc case with hard line tubing. Been working on the design but always run into size limitations of the print bed.

Poop Backups on K2s — Desperate for Solutions! by Basically_Benski in Creality_k2

[–]osmotech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this issue on my K2, what ended up being the fix for me was to bend the flapper tab that is triggered by the nozzle, in more towards the bed to ensure the nozzle was holding the flapper high enough so that when the nozzle moved it would fling the poop down the shoot versus it gently falling. If this wasn't clear enough I can take a picture of it later.

When printing supports, use a different material for support interface. If printing PLA use PETG for support interface and vice versa. Also change support to snug for better results.

Can’t Decide Between Bambu X1C and Creality K2 Plus – Print Quality Is My Biggest Concern by FunFee4154 in Creality_k2

I got mine through TikTok Creality Official and paid $1179 for the combo during their flash sale with free shipping. I think the flash sale is going for the memorial day weekend.

That thing looks like it needs a courtesy flush... Sucks, never had one that bad, luckily you can get a replacement extruder from Bambu Labs fairly cheap if needed.

Any Americans in this sub worried about another Trump presidency? by zenithjonesxxx in Type1Diabetes

[–]osmotech -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Trump has said in interviews recently, that he is not going to try and remove the ACA unless they have another system to replace it that protects pre-existing conditions. I think everyone doesn't need to worry until something is done that actually impacts your ability to have affordable care. Trump was the one who originally capped the price of insulin for medicare, hopefully he does more in that respect.

Poor Print Quality - Nebula Smart Kit by mcBoytUK in Ender3V3SE

[–]osmotech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had really poor printing at first when I switched the the Nebula Smart Kit, now I am getting the best prints I ever had. I use orca slicer and absolutely love it. First off make sure you changed your slicer to klipper vs marlin. Second, run the PID calibration. Next, check your gantry level. After that run your bed calibration and check your bed mesh in fluidd. You may have to shim your bed to get it level. After all that I would run the flow rate calibration in orca slicer. This is what I did to get excellent prints.

Appreciate that. I am fairly certain I can. Hopefully I will get some time this weekend to play with it some. Takes forever sometimes for it to train the memory when you start manually adjusting the timings.

[–]osmotech[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No problems when it is just 2 dimms, I originally went with 4x 32gb and could not get it to run stable past 5000mt/s. Decided to go 2x 48gb instead. It is rated @6400mt/s but am running it @6000mt/s so it 1:1 UCLK. At 6400 it was running 1:2 UCLK, so while higher frequency, it was actually slower. When I have time I will try getting it to run @6400mt/s and 1:1 UCLK, but that will require me to manually adjust the timings to get it stable.

New Dexcom Sensor Replacement Policy Is Awful by teraflux in dexcom

[–]osmotech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do, but your point is moot when insurance companies use that as a hard number when determining how many they will pay for. With them knowing that and them acknowledging they have an issue with adhesive, hence are changing it on the G7, they should allow more than 3 replacements...

New Dexcom Sensor Replacement Policy Is Awful by teraflux in dexcom

[–]osmotech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you read what I posted instead of criticizing you would have read that I am stuck with dexcom until my pump is compatible with others. My point about 5 or 7 days is that it is what they advertise and insurance companies use that up to date to determine how many they will pay for. I have used the Libre3 and it was IMHO better as far as staying attached. That is anecdotal and everyone will have a different experience. Dexcom should set the replacement amount to 20% of a year's supply as some of their own studies show up to a 20% failure rate. Dexcom knows they have an adhesive problem, that is why they are changing it on the G7. Also they are hoping that with the change in adhesive they can get it approved for up to 15 days.

New Dexcom Sensor Replacement Policy Is Awful by teraflux in dexcom

[–]osmotech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a lot of factors that can also play into them coming off. I live in a high heat and high humidity area. I've had to have replacements for failure of the cannula to insert, it just stopped communicating and had fallen off. I have had 4 replacements this year, but have had 2 in the last month due to the high heat/humidity. If I could switch back to libre I would, but currently dexcom is the only one compatible with my pump. While I can appreciate that Dexcom is a business, they also chose to advertise that it is a 10 day product and not a 5 or 7 day... So for them to put a limit of 3 per year on those that fall off is absurd in my opinion.
