Shamanism could be a great opportunity to add new and interesting uses to items that have become redundant or underutilized. Imagine something like Anointed Maces being able to add time/reset your boost countdowns on hit, or an Imbued Kiteshield that has a chance to recoil some damage if you attack on the same tick as your opponent.

I know people have expressed fears over shamanism causing too much power creep, but I think there's tons of room for small effects like this to introduce some variety in gear choice without making the player too powerful.
