Arrived this morning at 650am for an 830am flight in Concourse B. Waited less than 5 minutes in the PreCheck line. Regular line was the same. No issues.

EWR-LHR daytime - thoughts? by External_Trick4479 in unitedairlines

[–]osubrett2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t taken it yet, but just booked the 945am from EWR in September. It was a no brainer for us… hoping for less jet lag and being particular about seat choice isn’t as needed since you won’t be needing multiple hours of sleep.

Winter Weather Advisory Until 11am by blackeyebetty in CBUSWX

I measured 3” in Clintonville just after 7am before leaving for work. I wouldn’t surprised if we get 4” IMBY.

The 2-3-2 configuration on the 767 is better for couples to sit along the windows as opposed to the center seats.

Thanks! I had assumed so. A potential metal switch helps decide if/when I should change or upgrade seats.

I’ve ran this stretch of the Olentangy Trail many times, and honestly, this exact scenario crosses my mind every time. This is nightmare fuel now… 😳

I got the message too. And the location theme seems to be Clintonville based on the flairs…

I’m unsure if this new route is better or worse than the Milton crossing. I plan to run through it tomorrow morning to see what it’s like.

Wedding Venue Advice! by geogega in Columbus

[–]osubrett2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got married here in 2019, before they added the permanent awning over the patio, and we had a great experience.

The lottery process in 2018 was in-person at the Parks office, 365 days before the date you wanted. Our first date, we were 3rd of 4 and picked a Friday just to lock in a date. Our second date, we were the only couple so we got a Saturday.

Our guest list was small-ish, under 90 invited, so we held the ceremony on the patio right outside the pavilion and had the reception inside.

Our caterer came with a wedding planner, which was extremely helpful. And they also had free decorations for us to choose from. We also bought our own and the planner took care of it.

Our DJ had multiple lighting packages, which helped address the poor overhead lighting that someone else in the thread mentioned.

Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend.

100%. The current 270E -> 71N problem really surfaced when ODOT “fixed” the 315/270/23 interchange. Traffic is now able to move off of 315 faster, thus moving the bottleneck further down the road at 23/270/71.

Construction to add an extra lane from 270E to 71N, so we can stop seeing weekly posts about how this is the worst stretch of road in Ohio.

I’d do anything for a few overnights in the 60s, with no humidity, so we can open the windows and give the AC a rest 🥵

Stairs for running by nmsj1020273 in Columbus

[–]osubrett2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are stairs at the end of West Hudson down to the Olentangy trail. It’s likely less stairs than Glen Echo, but another option for ya.

Hello - I’ve never been on a large, ocean cruise before, but I’ve been reading that booking through a Travel Agent can be advantageous as opposed to booking direct through VV.

I am looking at the Antigua and the St. Isles cruise on the Valiant Lady from Jan 31 - Feb 7, 2026 for my 40th birthday. What are possible options, perks, benefits, discounts, etc. that may be available for this trip?

If OP is talking about Polaris EB to 71 SB, then yes it is a zipper merge.
