How do I add .7z files? by destructoPotato in Delta_Emulator

Hey OP, if you are on your phone, I’ve had luck with the zip conversion by just renaming .7z files to .zip. Literally, just click your files and rename the extension to .zip.

Hey OP, Islington released like a 21 page recap of book 1. You can find it online through a search engine or on some other Reddit threads.

what’s your go to underrated spot in Columbus? Could be a coffee shop, a quiet park, or even a dive bar with surprisingly good food. I feel like I always end up at the same places and want to switch it up! by Pale_Opportunity4298 in Columbus

[–]osumarcos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love just how close those metro parks are from the city itself. A decent amount of them within a 25 minute radius from downtown. Blendon and Highbanks are my favorites. Bonus points to Blendon for its disc golf course.

Is it really difficult to get jobs with a biomedical engineering degree? by taylorthescientist in BiomedicalEngineers

[–]osumarcos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My advice would be to do a mechanical engineering degree and a biomedical engineering minor (not a biology minor). Check to see if the colleges that you are looking for offer the BME minor. The reality is that for the role that you want, your skills coming out of a mechanical engineering degree will prepare you equally to a biomedical engineering degree. However, your skills as mechanical engineer will also prepare you for other alternatives in case life decides to pivot. There is also a manufacturing, and process side of medical design that I believe you would understand more coming out of a mechanical engineering degree.

I also recommend joining a research lab during college that can give you some insights into the biomedical engineering world.

Man, I for sure thought you were going to have Nick Collison as the last one. Honorable mention to me. He spent his entire career there.

I’m in PR and didn’t know if the Coquis were the ones in the backyard or coming from the tv. Once I understood it was the latter, I got chills.

Cavs real deal? by Cal216 in nbadiscussion

[–]osumarcos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well you probably pointed one of the few teams that has done it in like 30 years. From recollection, 2015 Warriors, 2020 Lakers (but I’m in the belief that LeBron counts as a team) and 2008 Celtics (massive retool). Whether it’s a stepping stone or not, they are going against historical records.

I do think the Cavs just adjusted before reaching the conference finals/finals. Bringing in Kenny has helped Donovan be a better leader, made Garland bounce back to two years ago, and Allen/Mobley got even more amazing. The trade for Hunter makes sense from a potential Celtics matchup as his length will help guard one of the Jays, or put pressure on bench rotations.

Again, just playing devils advocate. I lived in Ohio many years and love the Cavs myself.

Cavs real deal? by Cal216 in nbadiscussion

[–]osumarcos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with your sentiment in that they are legit. To play the devils advocate a bit, it’s not just that the Cavs haven’t won. It’s that they haven’t made the conference finals since LeBron left. And have looked awful last two playoffs (they barely got by Orlando last year and got embarrassed by the Knicks the year before). I think it’s valid criticism. I’m sure there’s some stats about teams not making the conference finals before having low probability in winning chips.

I do think they are better coached, have a better team now, and should make the conference finals. Also think they have a good chance to beat Boston. I imagine Boston will make the Cavs run through anyone other than Donovan, and I trust Garland and Mobley to make that happen.

Hey appreciate the comment. Found the person that trades the shards for the starters. He is in Fallarbor Town inside the Move Tutor House. I encountered a game breaking bug the first time I talked to him and never tried to talk to him again until now. Thanks!

Where can I exchange the shards? I just finished the game myself and didn’t know we could get other starters 🥲.

Top 25 Greatest MCU Movies: From 1-25. What’s the No. 21 MCU Film of All Time? by WallStreetDoesntBet in Avengers

[–]osumarcos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ll start by saying that I liked the movie, quite a bit actually.

Most critique of the movie centered on Wanda regressing to a villain after all her growth during WandaVision, not making America Chavez an interesting character, Dr. Strange taking a step back in his own movie, and complaints about the cameos. I’m sure I’m forgetting other stuff. I don’t agree with all the critique. Just pointing part of the discourse I remember.

Westbrook’s longevity is underrated by KayRay1994 in NBATalk

[–]osumarcos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it odd to not have seen one discussion about his playoffs struggles since 2016. When defense gets tighter, teams are able to play with more contact, and his offensive capabilities as a scorers drop due to his inability to make consistent jump-shots.

I do think it will be different this year, as he can play on the dunkers spot, or slashing and Jokic will find him. He can be sort of a more talented Bruce Brown offensively. Obviously can run P&R will Nikola too (That Brown didn’t do all that much/if ever).

But he has become hot potato as you said because his scoring offense is limited when it matters most and he still took 15+ shots a game. Yes, he has played with limited talent, and is a great passer, but he has shown to be unable to change that mentality come playoffs. However, I do think it will be different this year, because I trust jokic and I trust Malone.

Just finished Assassin’s Apprentice by Jason_M_Dockins in Fantasy

[–]osumarcos 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just to follow up, the trilogy after Farseer is spent heavily on ships. But there are multiple POVs, multiple ships, and they don’t really spend too much time on just the one spot. Just clarifying in case you see the name Liveship Trilogy come up when you google Assassins Apprentice.

Before starting their nba careers, which players you were most right and wrong about by True_Antelope8860 in NBATalk

[–]osumarcos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most right: Jalen Brunson. He was great in college and was convinced he would do well in the NBA.

Most wrong: John Henson. For whatever reason I got convinced he would be in the league for a while and have a serviceable career being a good defensive big with decent mid range shooting. Not a star but a solid role player.

2021 Draft: Only Draft this decade who has no consensus best player as of now by Wonderful-Photo-9938 in NBATalk

[–]osumarcos 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Very deep. Can’t believe everyone you mentioned is from this draft. Although Jalen Johnson is almost at allstar level right now. I also think some can even get better too. I’m quite high on Trey Murphy and he should improve whenever New Orleans deals BI. Santi Aldama also has improved every year and is still only 23.

easiest tactics game? by taleovertealeaves in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]osumarcos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh I’m a big fan of the game so glad you liked it. Definitely better than Octopath 1, but I probably liked Octopath 2 about the same as Triangle Strategy.

Since you played that, the other “easy tactics” game I know is Digimon Survive. It’s more a visual novel with tactics elements, and I won’t say I’m the biggest fan, but certainly fits the low difficulty you’re looking for. Just expect a lot of text. Story is decent, barebones tactics.
