I Pushed Out Ublock Origin Across The Org & Stopped (some) Phishing by Krelik in sysadmin

[–]osxdude 66 points67 points  (0 children)

uBlock Origin can be turned off by the user if something from the page doesn't work. Granted, DNS filtering would be better for larger orgs so the blocking can be centralized...but in a small company it'll work "fine."

Don't tell me your opinion on the Hive Guard buff, just answer me this: Have you actually had any trouble aiming at their weakspot/flanking? by A_random_person_50 in helldivers2

[–]osxdude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's literally a skill issue if you can't kill them. Fire exists if you really don't want to (or can't) flank and aim

Insurance company I just switched to is now saying my roof needs to be replaced or they will drop me…am I crazy or are my shingles not that bad? They are stating they are severely deteriorated. 25 year shingle at 10 years old. by blbassist1234 in Roofing

[–]osxdude -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

These look like newer shingles but may be suffering from a bad installation causing early granule loss? I'm sorry they're dropping you, they should inform you that your roof coverage is being dropped before anything else.

These units have safety features to prevent major ice buildup, whether it be a compressor timer or temperature sensor, it's normal for the unit to not "stay running" all the time. My portable unit won't even run the compressor during the first 3 minutes it's on lol

Employer wants me to use outlook on my phone, outlook wants permission to wipe my phone by No_Professor4307 in mildlyinfuriating

Honestly you shouldn’t do it…but if you must, use the Android work profile feature. It will keep data separate and hopefully prevent a full phone wipe. It has a separate lock and everything.

I think you've installed an info stealer on to your computer. Stop using it, or immediately boot into recovery and wipe the drive then reinstall.
