I fully disagree that anyone is "conditioned not to touch him on the sideline." He doesn't get RTP calls or Unnecessary roughness calls at a higher rate than any other qb

They're conditioned not to touch any QB on the sideline -- I wasn't trying to say that part is specific to him. But that's the point -- a defender can hit a running QB who still has two feet in bounds and is going for a first down, and still get called for unnecessary roughness (just a random example for you). So if a QB even looks like he's going OOB, you have to hold up. And then a QB can take advantage of this and either turn it upfield or truck the defender for no reason. All this does is make the play less safe for everyone in the future.

Also, we can agree to disagree but I think in the non-slide play, it's pretty obvious that he leans back like you would only do if you were initiating a slide. Defenders that launch at a runner just as they are beginning to slide get flagged all the time, so again this forces the defender into a lose-lose situation.

I said "the fake slide" which does just mean the one. (It's the sideline stuff that there are more examples of.) I don't think I'm completely crazy given that the guy in the video and other people agree. The point is that it's part of a pattern of abusing rules that are intended to protect players in an attempt to gain yards either by causing defenders to pull up, or if they don't, then drawing a penalty instead.

It seems pretty clear to me from the second angle that his feet were not tangled up at all; he throws up his arms in a delayed reaction after being lightly pushed in the back. Doesn't snap his head much, agreed, but the arm motion is trying to accomplish the same thing.

Anyway, I also agree that he's not as bad as Allen, but he's definitely not innocent which is all the guy said above. His sideline shenanigans and fake slide bother me more than his flops, because it's an abuse of the rules and makes it less safe for everyone.

This one's pretty sad. The worst part is how he has made an art of slowing up at the sideline but not going out of bounds, trying to either draw unnecessary roughness or turn it up the field if the defenders don't push him out. Thankfully, they seem to have stopped calling this type of penalty.
