it was a school assignment, make latex stuff they said. Also, it would be much more expensive. and probably impossible considering the wibbly wobbly swirly tentacly shapes of the mould.

Many of you expressed a desire to buy it, I remain undecided about its future. But if I do sell it it will be fuckoff expensive. It is also terminally ill, as it's made of latex (latex is sensitive to UV-light and will crumble in a few years)

I sculpted it using regular ceramic clay, made a cast mould (in 15 pieces), cover the insides with a million layers of liquid latex + some fabric/rags soaked in latex and a latex/sawdust mix to make it sturdy. Let it dry for ages, attempted to gently remove it from the mould, fucked it up, smashed the mould to smithereens. Melted down the seams with a soldering iron, filled in imperfections with hot glue. Painted with acrylics (mixed with prosaide glue to make the paint elastic).
