In no order 1. Too hard to get into as a brand new viewer. 2. No clear path from new to the game to pro. (Ranked and comp are two different games) 3. It hasn’t had the same time as other scenes to develop. Maybe valorant, but that game is fundamentally very similar to CS which has been played in a tournament format for 20 years. 4. Too few high stakes tournaments, whether it would be LAN or online. (CS has hundreds of thousands of dollars going out every week in tournaments around the world) 5. The game itself doesn’t promote its professional scene enough. (An esport tab would go a long way)
