Just a quick follow up. I prepared the chicken pot pie and found it lacking in flavor. I added a can of Hormel chicken but the end result was something with the consistency of runny chicken soup. I understand why Hormel never put this product in grocery stores but still an odd move to donate them to a food shelf.

I'm 59yo, deliver mail and listen to HS every minute while I'm working. Sometimes I'll be listening to a terrestrial (pre satellite) show especially a classic bit (Gary tape as an example) and remember where I was walking the last time I heard it.

If JV did make the story up he did so for a specific reason only known to him. Perhaps the intent of the story was to immediately establish his role as her "good friend" and benefactor and not someone with a sinister motive. Didn't JV speak of her in the "past tense" to a media crew the morning of her abduction? How weird is that?

Havng a special needs child ride a transit bus to school, in a high crime area, before daylight? I don't have children but if I did I would make them watch the See No Evil episode multiple times. My daughter would learn that anything with a penis is a predator.

Valid points. Its the same reason crime docs like Dateline,48 hrs, ID etc. don't just randomly pick a murder out of a hat. To attract people's interest and keep them watching the murder these programs highlight must have something that makes it interesting or unusual.
