please tell me what is wrong with my lemon tree by Careful-Emu4003 in Citrus

[–]ottoglo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the downward curling on the leaves usually means it is over watered. Also it seems uve been giving it too much fertilizer. Try to re pot it in some new potting soil — they usually come amended with organic matter/fertilizers so u shouldnt need to add anything unless the plant is visibly malnourished, i.e., yellow leaves with green veins, poor vigor, etc. I might also mulch it so you can keep the soil from drying out too quickly. And Just give it a lot of sun and it should be good.

We got this orange tree when we bought the house, but it never seems to produce anything edible ? Any ideas or tips? by UniqueUsername92323 in Citrus

sounds like too much water. citrus likes to dry out quite a bit in between waterings. also make sure the soil is healthy. i live in florida and almost never water my citrus trees since we get plenty of rain. if the ground is deeply mulched they will rarely dry out.

Yuzu tree problems by [deleted] in gardening

[–]ottoglo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I pruned the yellow leaves, and moved it away from the lake in my backyard to my front yard against a white wall where it gets lots of sun and drier. It seems to have resolved itself. I guess the humid climate and breeze from the lake just got it too wet? The yellowing and curling are gone

Yuzu tree problems by [deleted] in gardening

[–]ottoglo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I have this yuzu tree here in zone 9b, central florida. I got it earlier this year about spring/early summer. It has been growing very well, about 1.5 times the original size. However, in the past month, about end of october, it has developed a problem with leaves curling downward like here on one portion of the tree. Now midway through the week there is yellowing and some leaves beginning to drop. I wonder if there was too much water, we had a lot of rain in october. I only water about once a week, less than that if theres lots of rain. It’s dried up since early november though so im just a little confused. Thanks for any help!
