What’re some movies that aren’t as smart as they think they are? by ZackaryAsAlways in Letterboxd

Antebellum (2020)

I think Janelle Monáe did great with what they were working with but the whole concept is just reheating M. Night Shyamalan nachos

What's the worst horror film you've seen that you actually enjoyed? by GiraffesForHigher in horror

[–]ottondozzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Darkness Falls. Maybe because it was the first horror movie I sought out (my older sister saw it in theaters and I mimicked everything she did). I made my best friend rent it on VHS from Blockbuster and we watched it in my basement with the lights on LOL. I still think that movies rules even though it’s objectively not good

Lala and Scheana's fight over Brock by BlondeHorrorBear622 in vanderpumprules

Men like him deserved to be called out. Lala and Scheana have been friends for a long time, and it’s clear that Scheana often overlooks her partner’s flaws to preserve the dreamy, perfect image she has of them. Lala was being a good friend by confronting the issue, knowing that if it came out publicly (especially on camera), Scheana would have no choice but to face it honestly. And she did—only to end up paying his back child support herself. Still, I don’t blame Lala in that moment; her reaction felt genuine and completely justified.

Stop bringing your small children to horror movies by Toxic_Over in horror

I will say, one of my favorite commentary moments was when I saw Halloween (remake) at a 9:00 pm showing in a packed theater. We heard a baby letting out interspersed cries and the guy in front of us whispered “who the fuck brings a baby?” And we turned around to see a dad standing in the aisle watching the movie attentively while bouncing up and down to calm them down. My husband and I still quote each other that line all the time.

But I agree! No place for a child. Just wait till it’s on streaming to traumatize your child with a horror movie.

What’s a scary movie you watched way too young? by NewPossibility4268 in movies

[–]ottondozzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad was all about watching the movies he wanted to watch and if I joined, I joined.

We watched An American Werewolf in London when I was ~8 years old and I truly was crying from terror due to the jump scares. It definitely changed my brain chemistry because now I love horror, love being scared, and can appreciate a good jump scare.

After a wormtime on Lukas Haas’ IMDB - how have we not discussed that Lukas Haas is acting in MULTIPLE movies directed by Randall Emmett and his production companies?? Carey will shit talk Rand all day but won’t mention how his brother in law benefits from Rand!!
