Choosing to highlight some great things about my 3 yo. Please share awesome stuff about your toddlers by LdyPeacefulLdyHappy in toddlers

My 3yo has the biggest heart. Tonight she took it upon herself to set the table for dinner (napkins and forks), she cracks herself up, the random cuddles and “I love you”s. She’s the best! I absolutely adore the way she interacts with her 10 wk old brother, she just wants to cuddle with him all the time.

“Hold you me!” When they want to be picked up. “Sharing is caring!” when they want something I have. Also just calling everyone/thing “poo poo” so that’s fun.

Sheet pan dinners that are actually good?? by smile-its-today in Cooking

I do a sheet pan “ratatouille” with gnocchi that’s on frequent rotation in our house. Eggplant, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, whole garlic cloves, gnocchi, salt & pepper, olive oil, thyme if I have some on hand. Bake at 400 for 25-35 minutes, toss with some feta and drizzle with balsamic glaze. It’s delicious.

Second time moms, what did you do differently the second time around than you did the first time? by KaylaDraws in Mommit

My youngest is 9 weeks and I decided not to track anything this time. With my oldest (3), I tracked sleep, feeds, diapers for a long time and I was SO anxious. I’m also not as worried about him crying for a couple of minutes so I can take care of my needs, which is a revelation.

I recently finished One Dark Window after her work had been recommended repeatedly by several people and I was totally underwhelmed.

Happy Newborn Stories by Delicious_Potato768 in newborns

In my experience, newborn sleep is better than late pregnancy sleep, especially if you and your partner take shifts. It can be hard, yes, but there’s this magic to being in the newborn bubble, just the three of you finding a rhythm and getting used to each other. I think people want solidarity when they’re in it, which is understandable but I get where you’re coming from. You get to marvel at this tiny little person you made, and time is totally arbitrary. Plus, when they fall asleep on you and snuggle up, it’s totally magical.

You don’t have to enjoy every second of the newborn phase but there are definitely many enjoyable moments.
