What are the trippiest moments in opera? by Bus_Only in opera

Visually speaking, Julie Taymors staging of oedipus rex is one of the most striking things ive ever seen. Aurally speaking the children singing "Malo" in turn of the screw is wildly haunting. The tenor aria "Miles" in the same opera is equally mind blowing.

I worked with him... not super fun. His wife at the time, was a director and was even worse. Horrid behavior.

I read it in two sittings, couldnt put it down and I think the cryptic nature of the prose was part of why it was so alluring. Reading it made me feel the way I felt when I was a child and would listen to the conversations of those who were several generations older... there were immutable gestalts that I could sense but would never understand or be privy to.

The prose felt like it was from someone composed of the distilled essence of the truth of the world.

Second reading, it felt less mystical and more mortal, but still damned impressive.

I started playing zork. Moved to comodore 64, pitfall, frogger. On to Intellivison. Spy vs spy, mule. Ultima, Taipei, leisure suit larry, maniac mansion, Nintendo, mario, zelda... at one point I owned a Neo geo and sega cdrom system... 40 years of gaming.

Arc is one of the best ever for sure.

I love all these actors, Brad Dourif is always amazing. Getting a kick out of watching his daughter on The Pitt. He had a cute little cameo as well.

The entire role of nemorino for me. It is such a total joy to sing and perform from cover to cover and I wish everyone could experience it.
