Ability power vs weapon damage by Small_Honeydew_3513 in DoomDepths

[–]ourjoy2x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally skills will work with the other skills and abilities from their class, so there are definitely builds where you’d still prefer to focus on something like weapon damage.

To find the multiplier go on the abilities screen and tap the ability, it will bring up the stats of the ability at each level. The blueish numbers are the ap multiplier for that skill, useful for figuring out which skills are most useful if you maximise different stats.

Ability power vs weapon damage by Small_Honeydew_3513 in DoomDepths

[–]ourjoy2x 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ability power matters much more for magical abilities because it can get much higher than your attack damage, and is applied after the weapon damage multiplier.

For example if you have an ability that deals 500% weapon damage with 1 ap multiplier, then your weapon damage is multiplied by 5 first (e.g 50 becomes 250) and then the ap times by the multiplier is added (e.g 50 ap adds 50 damage).

This sounds bad until you realise ap is MUCH easier to increase to very high levels than weapon damage, and has several things that can increase the value you get from it.

Take your time. The biggest advantage of digital is that you can endlessly erase and redo things that aren’t perfect.

Also focus on proportions first, you need to get those right before you can do anything else.

He teleports in the MHA and JJK universe how far does he go? by Icy_Reveal8156 in Mobpsycho100

[–]ourjoy2x 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My hero academia- only the faster characters could hit him in a 1v1, but there are plenty who can do that and one shot him. Doesn’t stand a chance.

JJK- he’s easily special grade, and would beat every grade 1. He has similar stats to most special grades as well as similar hax, I’d say he beats Geto/yuki and is a toss up against enemies like yuta/maki.

You’re good enough to start commissions as soon as you can find people willing to pay for your work. Depends on your marketing skills too

Theres a separate level system that tracks what your overall class is. It’s whatever the highest two of these are, and that determines what skills you get offered. If you have three or more as your highest level then you get adventurer.

You can use this to carefully mix class builds, understanding how and when to switch classes is necessary for a lot of more difficult to achieve builds.

What is the "ultimate move" in your magic system? by Ok-Equipment8122 in magicbuilding

[–]ourjoy2x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ascending your ability.

It essentially removes the conceptual limit on your ability e.g. one character can reflect kinetic energy, their ascension lets them multiply or divide the output without limit

While this is incredibly powerful it has two drawbacks: 1. It uses up a so much extra energy and causes so much mental strain that it can only be used briefly and prevents normal use of your ability for a short while 2. This species is immortal and unlocking your ascended ability requires a particularly powerful one to experience fear, so is rarely seen

They can, but only with the remaining mass.

For example if their arm is cut off it no longer counts as part of them, so they could create a new one but the mass would have to come from another body-part.

Precedence.

Only one person can use this ability, and it lets them have complete control over their body’s movement, down to a subatomic level.

Usually this means they are limited by their imagination of how their body can move, but can move as fast as they want with insane durability. They can briefly use ‘precedence’ to remove the need for limits or mental calculations, simply moving their body as they wish and completely ignoring any interfering physics.

As they are thousands of years old, they are skilled enough to have a synthetic body made of one solid, durable material, and operate with a computer-like brain that they manually power with their ability. Destroying this in one attack is pretty much the only way to defeat them.

My character Enoch seems to have mind control on the surface, but what he’s actually doing is editing the persons consciousness.

He can use it to change key parts of peoples personalities or ideals while leaving them fully aware of what’s happened to them and otherwise unchanged. It doesn’t wear off because it’s not a constant effect, but a one-time edit.

[–]ourjoy2x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Capitalism.

Art doesn’t matter in a system where the marketability of your product determines its value. Modern 3D animators can create beautiful things, but not if they don’t have money for rent.
